The Wall 4 months agoOn Thursday last week, we were delighted to welcome artist Nohana Sayama to the London Hub for an immersive Winsor & Newton brand engagement session.
Nohana is the 2025 winner of the Cass Art Watercolour Award (sponsored by Winsor & Newton) and will be collaborating closely with Cass Art and our UK team throughout 2026 on a some key initiatives.
During Nohana’s visit, she got to explore the Winsor & Newton history and historic archive, led by Stephanie Nebbia, who brought it to life with intricate and fascinating storytelling.
Nohana then spent time with Mark Cann, where she explored modern methodologies and got hands-on in creating her own watercolour.
Mark Cass and team members of his artist partnerships, content and social team joined on the day and got to capture behind-the-scenes content and a brief Q&A session with Nohana which will be shared across Cass channels and will spotlight Winsor & Newton’s ongoing commitment to artist engagement.
Reflecting on the experience, Nohana said:“It was such an informative and exciting day. I was able to see (and touch!) so many precious Winsor & Newton archives and learn about the development of watercolours in a way I never would have otherwise.”
Looking ahead, we’re excited to share that in August 2026, Nohana’s winning artwork from the Cass Art Prize 2025 will find its permanent home at the London Hub… so stay tuned!

Un grand merci à toutes les équipes impliquées !Hello everyone,To launch our new LINEL gouache sets, we have been running a 360° communication campaign over the last few weeks, which has given these new products real visibility. You may have already seen the four-page adverts in the most renowned art magazines: Pratique des Arts, Connaissance des Arts, L’Œil, and Beaux-Arts Magazine. These magazines remain an excellent way to promote our products, as they directly reach artists and enthusiasts. In stores, the Charbonnel window display decorated in the colours of the three sets has complemented this presence. It catches the eye, showcases the sets, and perfectly extends the campaign. On social media, the trend is confirmed: our posts attract the most views and comments. We have therefore focused on these visuals to continue generating buzz about the sets online. This comprehensive approach has enabled us to promote the launch in a simple, consistent, and effective manner.A big thank you to all the teams involved!-

The Wall 4 months agoLefranc Bourgeois is rolling out its programme of events in art schools! This week: ENSAD Dijon and HEAR Strasbourg. This well-established programme, led in the morning by Marion Bach, presents the chemical properties of oil and acrylic paints in connection with our 2026 highlights. In the afternoon, artist Diane Benoit du Rey leads practical sessions and technical demonstrations. This approach is fully in line with Lefranc Bourgeois’ strategy: to pass on expert knowledge, support young talent and nurture the artists of tomorrow.

Super team work with Lab & Brand ! Well done and huge thanks to our chemist ingeneer who has been highly appreciated by students and teachers, with her extensive knowledge and good ability to make it “easy” to understand for non chemists !
This very qualitative approach is key as it gives a unic experience with future artists and enables them to get a strong experience with Lefranc Bourgeois that will grow years after years! …-

Millions of tonnes of clothing, shoes and other textiles end up in landfill every year because very little is sent for recycling .
“The current fashion system uses high volumes of non-renewable resources, including petroleum, extracted to produce clothes that are often used only for a short period of time, after which the materials are largely lost to landfill or incineration. “This system puts pressure on valuable resources such as water, pollutes the environment and degrades ecosystems in addition to creating societal impacts on a global scale.” There are good reasons to seek out alternatives to chucking clothes in the bin – globally the fashion industry is responsible for 10% of all greenhouse gas emissions, with textile production alone is estimated to release 1.2 billion tonnes of greenhouse gases into the atmosphere every year. Vast amounts of water are also needed to produce the clothes we wear too and the fashion industry is responsible for 20% of global waste water. At the same time we are buying more clothes than ever – the average consumer now buys 60% more clothing than they did 15 years ago. More than two tonnes of clothing are bought each minute in the UK, more than any other country in Europe. Globally, around 56 million tonnes of clothing are bought each year, and this is expected to rise to 93 million tonnes by 2030 and 160 million tonnes by 2050.
"Reuse. Recycle. Rethink — your clothes deserve a second life, not a landfill."
