The Wall 2 years agoHi all, 1st Teaser, as pomised yesterday! 😉 Discover the new Fine Oil Lefranc Bourgeois range of 48 colours, made in Le Mans, France. Each colour is available in 40ml and 200ml. The range is short, accurate and balanced. It features many interesting colours, starting with its exceptional primary colours, which are bright, creamy and rich in pigments. Its primary blue is unique, pre-measured to create perfectly balanced and harmonious blends and secondary colours. The primary yellow is incomparably bright and the primary red is subtly powerful. You can also enrich your palette with the Hero Colours, remarkable shades that are ideal for portraits and landscapes.
The texture of the new Fine Oil is smooth and extremely pleasant to work with, thanks to its composition based on linseed oil or safflower oil, depending on the colour, which gives it this quality, as well as optimal durability. Like our other ranges, the new Huile Fine is designed to blend perfectly with oil-based mediums, to create a wide range of effects.
Have a nice weekend!
Marie
Bon weekend!

The Wall 2 years agoLiquitex influencer partner Sebastien “Mr. D” Boileau partnered with NASA to create a custom mural at the NASA Johnson Space Center utilizing Liquitex product. Mr. D also recently worked with the city of Houston, and fellow artist Romain Froquet to create the “”City of All Energies” mural celebrating Houston’s energy-abundance and commitment to supporting global initiatives of low-carbon, clean energy + supporting UN sustainable development goals. Sebastien captured some great content (videos & imagery) while working on both. Check out a few images below and all videos/imagery of the NASA mural here: NASA Mural – Liquitex 2024

The Wall 2 years agoAs well as a commercial meeting and the Creativation by NAMTA trade show, we also organised a team dinner in New Orleans to celebrate the retirement of Barry Davis. Barry had a huge impact on the successes of Colart since joining us in 2007, including responsibility for the Michaels’ business since 2013. Here Barry receives some of his gifts, including a painting of his favourite scene near his new home, painted by Jimmy Leslie, and a personalised Series 7 brush we commissioned with help from our friends at Crown.

Millions of tonnes of clothing, shoes and other textiles end up in landfill every year because very little is sent for recycling .
“The current fashion system uses high volumes of non-renewable resources, including petroleum, extracted to produce clothes that are often used only for a short period of time, after which the materials are largely lost to landfill or incineration. “This system puts pressure on valuable resources such as water, pollutes the environment and degrades ecosystems in addition to creating societal impacts on a global scale.” There are good reasons to seek out alternatives to chucking clothes in the bin – globally the fashion industry is responsible for 10% of all greenhouse gas emissions, with textile production alone is estimated to release 1.2 billion tonnes of greenhouse gases into the atmosphere every year. Vast amounts of water are also needed to produce the clothes we wear too and the fashion industry is responsible for 20% of global waste water. At the same time we are buying more clothes than ever – the average consumer now buys 60% more clothing than they did 15 years ago. More than two tonnes of clothing are bought each minute in the UK, more than any other country in Europe. Globally, around 56 million tonnes of clothing are bought each year, and this is expected to rise to 93 million tonnes by 2030 and 160 million tonnes by 2050.
"Reuse. Recycle. Rethink — your clothes deserve a second life, not a landfill."
