The Wall 2 years agoColart UK delighted to host Jean-François de Saussure, the new Colart Board Member.
Colart UK had great pleasure in spending time with Jean-François on a UK Trade Tour. A planes, trains and automobiles day saw us take in the delights of Hobbycraft, WHS, Cornelissen, London Graphic, Foyles and finished with a visit to Cass Islington flagship store.
Please find attached a photo of us with Mark Cass behind the mural that Steph Nebbia created and that ties in our latest Winsor & Newton brand positioning and campaign of Through The Eyes Of The Artist.
With thanks to the entire UK team and a special shout out to Lewis and Guy.
Best, Anthony

Good job, Antony and the team ! Jean-François really enjoyed his retail tour with you all. He left London with a very solid confidence in Colart’ way of doing business in the UK, positive impressions on the way we build our brands, and a better understanding of our business stakes. Good to see he firmly believes in the potential add on of our new DTC journey, even if we all know this will require a patient narrative to the trade. Special tribute to Stephanie for the beautiful mural artpiece created for Cass…

The Wall 2 years, 1 month agoThis week we had the pleasure to meet as a European Marketing in Paris at Charbonnel. It was our second face to face meeting since we started one Europe marketing a year ago. We had a chance to go to Atelier Moret for a special training on Charbonnel which has been incredibly fascinating and interesting. A great opportunity also to meet and discuss our plans and KPI’s with the LB team on OIL and Dare to Paint for 2024… and of course to discuss and align our plans for Europe on NPD’s and campaigns on all Brands. We were pleased to highlight all the little steps we have taken since we have started this European journey. Thanks Clemence, Helene, Marie for welcoming us in Paris. Thanks to Harsa for her workshop preparation about ‘Foundation for success’ A big thank you to Jake who joined us during 2 days. Thanks to Amandine and Elena for our TTEOTA ‘souvenir’. And special thanks to Thierry for the tips and addresses in Paris. Proud to be in this fantastic team with great and passionate team members!

The Wall 2 years, 1 month agoYesterday I had the pleasure of helping (well I like to think so) out the assembly team in Kidderminster put together a NEW limited edition set for Cass Art, in partnership with Winsor & Newton, to commemorate their 40th Anniversary. Huge thanks to the whole team there, especially Shane, Emma, Julie and Leanne who worked through the first batch of sets. The speed that they flew through these sets was amazing!
The set was designed in partnership with Cass, and the wonderful Steph Nebbia created the standout artwork that delivers such amazing presence. Huge thanks to Steph and the project team including Marine, Cindy, Caroline, Shane and Pierre, for getting this one over the line.

Millions of tonnes of clothing, shoes and other textiles end up in landfill every year because very little is sent for recycling .
“The current fashion system uses high volumes of non-renewable resources, including petroleum, extracted to produce clothes that are often used only for a short period of time, after which the materials are largely lost to landfill or incineration. “This system puts pressure on valuable resources such as water, pollutes the environment and degrades ecosystems in addition to creating societal impacts on a global scale.” There are good reasons to seek out alternatives to chucking clothes in the bin – globally the fashion industry is responsible for 10% of all greenhouse gas emissions, with textile production alone is estimated to release 1.2 billion tonnes of greenhouse gases into the atmosphere every year. Vast amounts of water are also needed to produce the clothes we wear too and the fashion industry is responsible for 20% of global waste water. At the same time we are buying more clothes than ever – the average consumer now buys 60% more clothing than they did 15 years ago. More than two tonnes of clothing are bought each minute in the UK, more than any other country in Europe. Globally, around 56 million tonnes of clothing are bought each year, and this is expected to rise to 93 million tonnes by 2030 and 160 million tonnes by 2050.
"Reuse. Recycle. Rethink — your clothes deserve a second life, not a landfill."
