The Wall 2 years, 3 months agoI want to share with you the pleasure I had to visit the beautiful Charbonnel boutique during a Parisian Tour.A spacious place, which smells good wood, a bright space, well stocked by our products including the sublime Flash paint. The shop is located in a privileged area overlooking the Notre Dame Cathedral, I was really seduced!I had the chance to meet the artist Tommy Knuts who was cheerfully dressing the walls of a room that will soon host workshops.
Thank you to the Lefranc Bourgeois team for taking the time to welcome me : Clemence, Marie, Hélène and Lorie.

The Wall 2 years, 3 months agoOpening of the Herman Braun Vega exhibition at FIAA in Le Mans on last Friday evening!
The works of this famous Peruvian artist, leaving in France since the 60’s, will be presented to the public in Le Mans until the end of April 2023.
I had the chance to meet in 2012 this cultured, committed, warm artist, a figure of narrative figuration movement. I introduced him to the Colart factory, himself being a big user of our Liquitex colors, converting him in soft body viscosity while he was starting to look for Golden 🙂
He then welcomed me with great kindness in his Arcueil studio, explaining his entire artistic journey to me, a real privilege!
It’s a chance to be able to discover his magnificent paintings thanks to FIAA (each painting are explained via a scan code)

The Wall 2 years, 3 months agoGreat to welcome some artists in the office today – Jimmy has been working hard these past few
months refining our North America education programme. A critical part of this is building out
the team of artists we collaborate with, we have recruited 9 new artists to join our team taking us to
22 in total.
These artists will represent either W&N or Liquitex delivering education, hands on
training, generating content, being our sounding board and helping us better connect within artists
communities.
The artists featured here will all work on Liquitex. Introducing left to right
Cameron Barker, based in Brooklyn who has most recently taught at Yale, works as a painting studio assistant and creates beautiful graphite drawings in addition to printmaking, Jimmy of course, Veronica Herrera a professor at UC Denver whose abstract acrylic paintings evoke a bold energy and Sari Shryack, an acrylic painter in Austin, Texas.
More to come on our newly refined education programme in the coming months.

Looks a really exciting artists engagement team!…

Millions of tonnes of clothing, shoes and other textiles end up in landfill every year because very little is sent for recycling .
“The current fashion system uses high volumes of non-renewable resources, including petroleum, extracted to produce clothes that are often used only for a short period of time, after which the materials are largely lost to landfill or incineration. “This system puts pressure on valuable resources such as water, pollutes the environment and degrades ecosystems in addition to creating societal impacts on a global scale.” There are good reasons to seek out alternatives to chucking clothes in the bin – globally the fashion industry is responsible for 10% of all greenhouse gas emissions, with textile production alone is estimated to release 1.2 billion tonnes of greenhouse gases into the atmosphere every year. Vast amounts of water are also needed to produce the clothes we wear too and the fashion industry is responsible for 20% of global waste water. At the same time we are buying more clothes than ever – the average consumer now buys 60% more clothing than they did 15 years ago. More than two tonnes of clothing are bought each minute in the UK, more than any other country in Europe. Globally, around 56 million tonnes of clothing are bought each year, and this is expected to rise to 93 million tonnes by 2030 and 160 million tonnes by 2050.
"Reuse. Recycle. Rethink — your clothes deserve a second life, not a landfill."
