The Wall 2 years, 3 months agoSometimes we all need reminding why we do what we do, my sister works at the RAF museum in Hendon London, her staff room has no windows, so she asked if I could get her some acrylic paint which her colleague could use to create a ‘window’. Galeria paint (obviously using my staff discount) #inspiringeveryartist

The Wall 2 years, 3 months agoWe’re kicking off 2024 strong in the UK Sales & Marketing team with our key account, Cass Art.
To support the promotions running as part of the Cass Art Sale, which kicked off on 26th December and will run until 4th February, we have supplied the Cass team with a variety of relevant, supporting content that features our Winsor & Newton and Liquitex materials in use. None of this content has been newly created as we managed to re-purpose all the content from 2023 activations as well as content from brand toolkits, working in an efficient, agile and cost-effective manner.
As an example, one piece of content that we provided to drive this sale, is a video reel that we worked on with UK professional Artist, Kate Brinkworth, as part of the Liquitex Recycled Canvas UK launch in 2023. This video has now been re-utilised to support and drive the Cass Art Sale promotion which offers a Recycled Canvas as a gift with purchase.
The Liquitex video reel has Kate utilising the Recycled Canvas to create one of her beautiful artworks, whilst highlighting its wonderful, sustainability-driven USPs.. Alongside the video, we asked Kate to provide an artist testimonial, which was used alongside the video on Cass’ channels, and which you can read below:
“It’s not easy to be sustainable as an artist. so Liquitex’s new range of Recycled Canvases (from 100% plastic bottles) are exciting. I’ve been having a play with them to see how they respond and the outlook is great. They are strong, stable, and the frame seems pretty inflexible, which is all important. The surface tension is nice and firm, and the texture has a good smooth quality to it. The weave is fine so no roughness comes through the paint. The priming is also solid, with nothing seeping through. And the paint stays on the surface allowing the paint to move freely!”
It’s an absolute pleasure to see this content being used, re-purposed, and to support Emma Mills on Martyn Symes’s team, who work very hard to have such a comprehensive promotional plan in place for our key account, at the start of the year!

Excellent start to 2024: Collaborating with our strategic retail partners; communicating and engaging with our target consumers, and activating our brand power assets. Delivering credible and authentic consumer engagement and educational messages to showcase Liquitex and our sustainability credentials through Liquitex Recycled Canvas. Great work Colart UK. Let’s use this as inspiration and a springboard for more great activations of our power brands and a drive for delivering strong levels of sustainable, profitable growth in 2024. Best, Anthony…

The Wall 2 years, 3 months agoLast week end, I visited Magot, young (28) French artist who visited Charbonnel Boutique last year. Self made man, born in Toulouse, he has always been challenging himself on everything….His personal story is quite unique with two major passions: cooking and painting ! in which he seems currently succeeding.
He is today a cooker at the Palais de l’Elysée where the French President stands, and he is becoming famous thanks to the success of his colourful, fresh, lively, vegetal paintings, in which he has been integrating Paris monuments (and in peculiar Elysée Palace!)
He is a great fan and user of Liquitex Basics (see the bag of tubes!), panting live from the tube. And he is looking to discover Liquitex Basics Fluid from now on!
He is also using Lefranc Bourgeois Flashe for matt intense backgrounds.
He recently sold paintings to President Macron, to French football player Kylian MBappé, and is getting more and more interest from the parisian press.

Millions of tonnes of clothing, shoes and other textiles end up in landfill every year because very little is sent for recycling .
“The current fashion system uses high volumes of non-renewable resources, including petroleum, extracted to produce clothes that are often used only for a short period of time, after which the materials are largely lost to landfill or incineration. “This system puts pressure on valuable resources such as water, pollutes the environment and degrades ecosystems in addition to creating societal impacts on a global scale.” There are good reasons to seek out alternatives to chucking clothes in the bin – globally the fashion industry is responsible for 10% of all greenhouse gas emissions, with textile production alone is estimated to release 1.2 billion tonnes of greenhouse gases into the atmosphere every year. Vast amounts of water are also needed to produce the clothes we wear too and the fashion industry is responsible for 20% of global waste water. At the same time we are buying more clothes than ever – the average consumer now buys 60% more clothing than they did 15 years ago. More than two tonnes of clothing are bought each minute in the UK, more than any other country in Europe. Globally, around 56 million tonnes of clothing are bought each year, and this is expected to rise to 93 million tonnes by 2030 and 160 million tonnes by 2050.
"Reuse. Recycle. Rethink — your clothes deserve a second life, not a landfill."
