The Wall 2 years, 4 months agoWe recently welcomed at Charbonnel Boutique in Paris, together with Clemence Blanc, Lefranc Bourgeois Brand Director, Ms Virginie Lefranc, grand grand niece of Alexandre Lefranc…She came to us, after reading the 300th anniversary magazine dedicated to Lefranc Bourgeois. She was amazed by all the stories she (re)discovered which reminded her, many family discussions from her youth. We shared many information on the history of the family. She proposed to bring and give us to Le Mans early next year lots of Lefranc archives, very proud that we aim to still develop Lefranc Bourgeois brand worldwide. Moreover, I helped her to reconnect with her cousin Mr Marcel Lehman Lefranc, 95 years old, still alive, with whom we kept regular relationship (he was in charge of the relation with the artists community and the institutions in the 60’s and 70’s….)

The Wall 2 years, 4 months agoSo excited today ! Just received my Series 7 brush from Crown, result from the highly demanding but very immersive “brush making experience” I had during my last visit to the factory a few weeks ago. The certificate (“skill, determination … And maybe a little help”) is far too generous : no doubts on the determination, but the skill was not on my side and my brush would have looked more like a broom without the patient and talented craftmanship of the wonderful team guiding me through this process. We indeed have a fantastic know how in Crown ! Congrats again to Mark and his team for their renewed commitment and the way they manage to transmit our undisputed quality.

I like the certificate…it’s an amazing yet humbling experience to “try” to make a brush!…
-
without the skilled team in Crown we wouldn’t have single brush to sell… as I have tried it many years ago as well and can testify: it is not as simple as they make it look. Made me appreciate our brushes even more.…

The Wall 2 years, 4 months agoCOLART AMERICAS HOLIDAY LUNCH 2023
Tuesday, December 12th, 2023
Colart North America had our Holiday Lunch 2023 this afternoon and I wanted to take a moment to thank everyone who participated. The event was a great success, and it was wonderful to see everyone come together to celebrate the holiday season.
We made some space, added tables and chairs, while lunch featured delicious subs from Jersey Mike’s, a beautiful display of cakes and cookies, along with music and raffled off prizes! It was a great opportunity for everyone to take a break from their busy schedules and enjoy some time together.
Once again, thank you to all involved in making the event a fun success. I look forward to seeing everyone at the next one!
Happy and safe Holidays everyone!
Best regards,
Eric Drylewicz

Millions of tonnes of clothing, shoes and other textiles end up in landfill every year because very little is sent for recycling .
“The current fashion system uses high volumes of non-renewable resources, including petroleum, extracted to produce clothes that are often used only for a short period of time, after which the materials are largely lost to landfill or incineration. “This system puts pressure on valuable resources such as water, pollutes the environment and degrades ecosystems in addition to creating societal impacts on a global scale.” There are good reasons to seek out alternatives to chucking clothes in the bin – globally the fashion industry is responsible for 10% of all greenhouse gas emissions, with textile production alone is estimated to release 1.2 billion tonnes of greenhouse gases into the atmosphere every year. Vast amounts of water are also needed to produce the clothes we wear too and the fashion industry is responsible for 20% of global waste water. At the same time we are buying more clothes than ever – the average consumer now buys 60% more clothing than they did 15 years ago. More than two tonnes of clothing are bought each minute in the UK, more than any other country in Europe. Globally, around 56 million tonnes of clothing are bought each year, and this is expected to rise to 93 million tonnes by 2030 and 160 million tonnes by 2050.
"Reuse. Recycle. Rethink — your clothes deserve a second life, not a landfill."
