The Wall 2 years, 8 months agoLast Friday, as a sponsor, we had the honor to participate in acrylic paint workshops, which were conducted by Sylwia Doktorczyk, who cooperates with us. Sylwia has been painting with our paints for years and we have been trying to support her talent for a long time. 10 women had acrylic paints in their hands for the first time and, under the supervision of Sylwia, they created paintings on the subject of “woman”. Workshops will probably be held more often, of course using Liquitex or Winsor & Newton paints. Thank you very much Jakub Kopek for your commitment and our company for the opportunity to donate paints for this event.

The Wall 2 years, 8 months agoHello, I’m excited to share an update on the recent launch of the Jane Hunt Set in NA. We collaborated with artist Jane Hunt to launch an exclusive set of her favorite AWMOC colors. The objective was to test the viability of Artist Sets from both marketing and commercial perspectives: increase brand reach, loyalty, and signal mutual trust between brand and artists, but also offer a unique, exclusive and valuable product offering on brand.com.
Jane was a perfect first partner to collaborate with – not only as the 12th most awarded oil painter in the US, but as a long-time Winsor & Newton fan with deep emotional connections to the brand. Her daughter’s Cerebral Palsy was one factor in switching to solvent-free oil paints – in her words, she’d tried every brand, and Artisan was and will continue to be her favorite.
We announced the Set at the end of Jane’s on-stage demo at the Plein Air convention in Denver in May 2023. Immediately after, people were lining up to purchase and have Jane sign the set herself. It was great to see Jane’s influence as a faculty member, with many of the newly purchased sets being used and enjoyed in the Paint Outs in the days following. You can also see positive response to Jane’s announcement on her socials yesterday.
Jane was extremely honored and proud of this set, and teared up when we presented her with it in person, making this a special project to work on. It feels great to see our products make artists so happy, furthering our commitment to building an emotional engagement with our brands in the NA community. Thank you to everyone involved in making this happen, and for your patience with me learning the EPD process for the first time…! I look forward to doing more NA exclusives like this. Next up we’ll be launching the Hannah Webb set on Liquitex.com!

This is when humanity’s ecological demand exceeds the Earth’s capacity to regenerate its resources for that year. It represents the point at which we start living beyond the planet’s ecological means. Some countries are managing to use natural resources at sustainable levels, others not so much….

Millions of tonnes of clothing, shoes and other textiles end up in landfill every year because very little is sent for recycling .
“The current fashion system uses high volumes of non-renewable resources, including petroleum, extracted to produce clothes that are often used only for a short period of time, after which the materials are largely lost to landfill or incineration. “This system puts pressure on valuable resources such as water, pollutes the environment and degrades ecosystems in addition to creating societal impacts on a global scale.” There are good reasons to seek out alternatives to chucking clothes in the bin – globally the fashion industry is responsible for 10% of all greenhouse gas emissions, with textile production alone is estimated to release 1.2 billion tonnes of greenhouse gases into the atmosphere every year. Vast amounts of water are also needed to produce the clothes we wear too and the fashion industry is responsible for 20% of global waste water. At the same time we are buying more clothes than ever – the average consumer now buys 60% more clothing than they did 15 years ago. More than two tonnes of clothing are bought each minute in the UK, more than any other country in Europe. Globally, around 56 million tonnes of clothing are bought each year, and this is expected to rise to 93 million tonnes by 2030 and 160 million tonnes by 2050.
"Reuse. Recycle. Rethink — your clothes deserve a second life, not a landfill."
