    Local Fundraising Event Held in Minehead on Saturday 8th July.

    The event’s purpose was to raise funds for the British Heart Foundation and to purchase a bench in memory of a well-known and very popular local businessman who recently passed away. As this person was an avid member of the Minehead Cricket Club and a devotee of their spinning classes, local sportswoman Suzanne Richards organised a day of sponsored cycling.

    Suzanne invited sponsors, of which Snazaroo was one, to join her on this cycling marathon held over a 12-hour period where each sponsor was given a one-hour slot. Our volunteer cyclist was John Bosley, seen on the right in the photo. The fun continued into the evening at the cricket club where local band Evolution played to a packed audience.

    While it is still too early to report on the total funds raised by the event, the generosity of sponsorship and donations indicate that it will reach several thousands of pounds.

    Yesterday, in one of the prettiest Polish stores, Paper Concept Varso, we placed the display on the WN Series 7, it stands in an honorable place at the entrance to the store 🙂 now it’s time to think how to display the Synthetic Sables from WN so nicely.

      Hey Brand and Merch team!Maybe we should think how to use the same base for Synthetic range.Changing the design and just slightly the construction of the upper part would do perhaps?Great professional Winsor-Newton Synthetic Watercolor Brushes (maybe also Synthetic Oil and Synthetic Acrylic ranges) deserve proper presentation in stores. We do offer great brushes, but they are lost in between hundreds of other ranges. Without clear emphasizing USP’s we hardly can sell it.Regular brush shelves and displays we use are good for – lets say, mid ranges, like: Winton, Cotman, Galeria and etc, but not at all enough for best quality ones.Let’s discuss!

    Since this year, we have had the obligation in France to provide future retirees with awareness of the fight against cardiac arrest and life-saving gestures. The first session took place on Thursday in an excellent atmosphere and the staff fully participated in this action.

     

    Depuis cette année, nous avons l’obligation en France de faire bénéficier les futurs retraités d’une action de sensibilisation à la lutte contre l’arrêt cardiaque et aux gestes qui sauvent. Creating Impact Tip
Millions of tonnes of clothing, shoes and other textiles end up in landfill every year because very little is sent for recycling .

“The current fashion system uses high volumes of non-renewable resources, including petroleum, extracted to produce clothes that are often used only for a short period of time, after which the materials are largely lost to landfill or incineration. “This system puts pressure on valuable resources such as water, pollutes the environment and degrades ecosystems in addition to creating societal impacts on a global scale.” There are good reasons to seek out alternatives to chucking clothes in the bin – globally the fashion industry is responsible for 10% of all greenhouse gas emissions, with textile production alone is estimated to release 1.2 billion tonnes of greenhouse gases into the atmosphere every year. Vast amounts of water are also needed to produce the clothes we wear too and the fashion industry is responsible for 20% of global waste water.  At the same time we are buying more clothes than ever – the average consumer now buys 60% more clothing than they did 15 years ago. More than two tonnes of clothing are bought each minute in the UK, more than any other country in Europe. Globally, around 56 million tonnes of clothing are bought each year, and this is expected to rise to 93 million tonnes by 2030 and 160 million tonnes by 2050.
