The Wall 2 years, 9 months agoThe wellbeing group had organized a friendly moment on Tuesday around a chicken on the spit.
Even if the weather did not allow us to sit on the lawn, the meal was appreciated by the guests.
Le groupe wellbeing avait organisé ce mardi un moment convivial autour d’un poulet à la broche.
Même si le temps ne nous a pas permis de nous installer sur la pelouse, le repas a été apprécié des convives.

The Wall 2 years, 10 months agoA very educational time at the Crown brush factory yesterday… as Mark taught Dominique how to eat a scone properly (cream on first of course!!)
Joking aside, it was a wonderful day as Romain, Dominique, Sebastian and I met some of the incredibly skilled people who still make our brushes by hand. And we had a great opportunity to discuss exciting ideas for the future of brushes and how to amplify this category even further in the future.
Thank you Mark and Sam for your hospitality – we will be back again soon!

Sounds like a wonderful visit Helly; love the proud picture of Sebastian 🙂
Also I’m no scone expert… but definitely not cream on first in my opinion, hahah!… -

This sounds like a great day of education and experience. Looking forward to a trip to meet the team and collect some authentic brush stories for 2024 too….…

Fabulous. I always love coming to Crown and am sure you have been given a very royal treatment. Looking forward to those exiting ideas on brush development!…
-
That looks like a great trip…..Crown is such a special place and with amazing colleagues. That aside, let’s be honest, cream on last is the only way to go!…

Great visit indeed, and not only from a scone perspective. Good to see we are working on a revitalization plan for this crucial brush category, with combined effort of our talented workers in Crown and Sebastian.…

love the fact that we had coordinated cleaning activities in our factories 🙂
well done to all who took part!… -
often forgotten but very important. Lingering pieces of trash pollute our environment for decades. Not the example we want to give future generations. Well done to all volunteers and thank you!…

The Wall 2 years, 10 months agoThe dynamically changing market situation does not allow us to get bored. We always strive to exceed the expectations of customers and consumers of our brands and products. That is why we have prepared proposals for new planograms and new assortments, which we presented to the Empik buyers team yesterday. The photos show the exhibition on which we worked together to determine the optimal mix of products. We have proposed several completely new functionalities and formats. Now, the next stage that will require us to precisely plan limited resources and perfectly organize the redevelopment of 85 stores in the largest cities in Poland.
Rather, we try to focus on our own work, but I have to share this information about our key competitor with you. Between the lines, we got a clear signal that Liquitex Basics and Winsor-Newton Galeria have become products more willingly chosen than Talens Amesterdam in the last few months. The Talens sales team strongly complains about our activity both in Empik stores and in typical art stores.Congratulations to both colleagues responsible for the Polish market. We continue to fight in Poland and it’s time for the Czech Republic and Slovakia, Hungary, etc.!
-
Always one step ahead of our competitors is one of the key to success.
Amazing work! Well done guys!
… -
Great presentation Congratulations to Jacub and your team.
I can only support you, there are more and more end customers who identify with our products, so I see Liquitex way ahead as a brand… -
Jane Beeston replied 2 years, 10 months ago
Well done Jakub!!! 🙌🥂 I love the way you actively drive this customer by building it from nothing into an important account with not just a focus on our brands but also thinking about production of own label to block out the competition!!! Great work by you and the team and I hope you are able to share the foundation of your success.…

Great job Jakub + Team – love seeing the new Promarker + Studio Collection set cardboard packaging in the displays…
-
well done Jakub & team. Of course consumers enjoy working with our brands more than with Talens… but great to hear it being confirmed. If only we could make that happen in all countries in Europe 😉 The presentation of our products in Poland is obviously much more attractive vs Talens, so well done to all …

Millions of tonnes of clothing, shoes and other textiles end up in landfill every year because very little is sent for recycling .
“The current fashion system uses high volumes of non-renewable resources, including petroleum, extracted to produce clothes that are often used only for a short period of time, after which the materials are largely lost to landfill or incineration. “This system puts pressure on valuable resources such as water, pollutes the environment and degrades ecosystems in addition to creating societal impacts on a global scale.” There are good reasons to seek out alternatives to chucking clothes in the bin – globally the fashion industry is responsible for 10% of all greenhouse gas emissions, with textile production alone is estimated to release 1.2 billion tonnes of greenhouse gases into the atmosphere every year. Vast amounts of water are also needed to produce the clothes we wear too and the fashion industry is responsible for 20% of global waste water. At the same time we are buying more clothes than ever – the average consumer now buys 60% more clothing than they did 15 years ago. More than two tonnes of clothing are bought each minute in the UK, more than any other country in Europe. Globally, around 56 million tonnes of clothing are bought each year, and this is expected to rise to 93 million tonnes by 2030 and 160 million tonnes by 2050.
"Reuse. Recycle. Rethink — your clothes deserve a second life, not a landfill."
