The Wall 3 years agoWhy do I love Liquitex? I’m the ultimate fan! I’ve been painting with Liquitex for as long as I can remember. Here’s a picture of me at age 4 surrounded by Liquitex paints (I was helping my Dad on a project). I enjoy painting with Liquitex and now creating assets for this wonderful brand!

The Wall 3 years agoOver the last 2 weeks some members of the Group Merchandising Team with the support from Stephanie Nebbia have conducted two Art Therapy sessions with the residents of the Beaumont Care Home in Southgate, London as part of their Community Day.
The sessions were conducted by Stephanie and Ruben and then Amelia and Chevelle.
The turnout at the home was incredible and the feedback from the events co-ordinator – Zoey from the care home was brilliant.
“Today was another lovely day. Thanks again so much for providing all your wonderful therapists . So lovely to see people really embracing their creativity.”
All the residents had a great time and really showed some talent.
A big thanks to Stephanie also for making the time in her busy schedule to prepare and support the sessions.

The Wall 3 years agoIt is a great honor to announce that this year CTAM become the formal practice teaching base of Central Academy of Fine Arts (CAFA) which is the leading professional art academy in China.
On April 25,Mr. Dominque and Ms. Chen Ye (Professor and Party Secretary of School of Experimental and Sci-Tech Arts of CAFA, and Director of the Sociality Arts Studio) formally signed agreement on jointly building the practice teaching base mutually.
In the unveiling ceremony, Ms. Jane and Professor Chen delivered the Speeches:
Ms Jane:Back to Year 2016, the Owner and Board of Colart visited CAFA campus and decided to start partnership cooperation. In the next 3 years, we have conducted a series of cooperation, not limited to lectures, demonstrations, selective courses, but also open to the Residency Artist Program in Colart Studio in London. The latter is aiming to inspire young artists for further creation, which is also in line with our vision “ inspire every artist in the world”. Respect to all who pursuit their dreams! Thanks to all who supported them. It’s really amazing that CAFA colleague come here for further development. WELCOME! Let’s build a solid cooperation and work together to inspire the artists of tomorrow.
Ms Chen Ye:Since 2016, with the support from Colart group and assistance of Ms. Shirley Zhang and Ms. Miao Miao, the CAFA and CTAM have carried out a series of teaching and practical cooperation, receiving praise from several generations of students. Last year, with the strong promotion of our school’s Department of Academic Affairs, CTAM was the first that came to our minds. It is our belief that the research and practice conducted on this basis will further broaden the boundaries of art. The hard-core technical team of Colart combined with our faculty and students’ material innovation and artistic exploration will be highly anticipated.
Finally, under the witness of more colleagues of CTAM,Mr. Dominique and Ms. Chen unveiled the plate.
After ceremony, Professors from CAFA take a plant tour accompanied by GM Hunter and Manufacturing manager Michael.

During Ms Chen Ye’s speech she spoke warmly about our brands and told a great story how a Spanish professional artist – Eduardo Narenjo was invited to speak at CAFA with classes to follow for the fine art students. This artist insisted on using Winsor and Newton, so the department duly ordered a stock of W&N so that the students could learn from this artist.
The power of our brand and the influential power of loyalty in art school….well done Colart Iberia for building such a committed consumer ….love our brands like our consumers!…

The Wall 3 years agoFor anyone interest in colour theory this artist is worth a follow. I find there\’s something mesmerising about watching paint being mixed. W&N feature in this brand comparison and comments reflect the comparative value of the brand.

Millions of tonnes of clothing, shoes and other textiles end up in landfill every year because very little is sent for recycling .
“The current fashion system uses high volumes of non-renewable resources, including petroleum, extracted to produce clothes that are often used only for a short period of time, after which the materials are largely lost to landfill or incineration. “This system puts pressure on valuable resources such as water, pollutes the environment and degrades ecosystems in addition to creating societal impacts on a global scale.” There are good reasons to seek out alternatives to chucking clothes in the bin – globally the fashion industry is responsible for 10% of all greenhouse gas emissions, with textile production alone is estimated to release 1.2 billion tonnes of greenhouse gases into the atmosphere every year. Vast amounts of water are also needed to produce the clothes we wear too and the fashion industry is responsible for 20% of global waste water. At the same time we are buying more clothes than ever – the average consumer now buys 60% more clothing than they did 15 years ago. More than two tonnes of clothing are bought each minute in the UK, more than any other country in Europe. Globally, around 56 million tonnes of clothing are bought each year, and this is expected to rise to 93 million tonnes by 2030 and 160 million tonnes by 2050.
"Reuse. Recycle. Rethink — your clothes deserve a second life, not a landfill."
