We had a local Town Hall today in DC4 with special guest Romain joining us and introducing himself to the entire team, we were of course pleased to welcome him and very pleasantly surprised that he delivered his introductory speech to us in both English and Spanish. 🙂

We are delighted to host Romain this week – as well as Gail of course. Yesterday was a site tour and update on the NA business and our market.

Very happy to celebrate the one year “work anniversary” of my Creative Team partner, Maria GottfriedThe amount of talent, skill, and vision that she’s contributed to nearly every aspect of our NA operation (from brand, to channel, and beyond), is indescribable. She’s completely raised the bar of what can be accomplished in-house, and I can imagine only greater and better things ahead. Join me in wishing her a truly happy day, and for a brighter future to come. Cheers, Maria!

I had a trip down to Kent for a few days over Easter and had a brilliant visit to Hever Castle, childhood home of Anne Boleyn. It was a great day with lots to see but one of the most unexpected items we saw was a painting by Winston Churhill along with the paint set and easel he gifted to Major John Astor. Attached are some photo which some might find as exciting as myself and although the paint set was covered with some horrible plastic you can still see quite clearly the W&N logo on the paint. Not such good taste in some of the old Hog brushes but they may have been added for effect after by the curator or Winston kept all the W&N brushes for himself clever fellow!  I Would recommend a visit it is beautiful.

The blockbuster exhibition “Basquiat X Warhol à quatre mains”, at the Louis Vuitton Foundation in Paris until August 28, 2023, traces a moving story of friendship between the two New York artists. This evolves towards a fruitful artistic complicity thanks to which Andy Warhol the master of pop art finds his desire to paint and takes a fresh look at his work. Jean Michel Basquiat admires the Warhol legend, which changed the relationship between art and American popular culture. By merging on the canvas, the two spirits create a “third, separate and unique”. Warhol died in 1987. Basquiat followed him a year and a half later
