The Wall 3 years, 3 months agolast weekend i visit the London Art Fair and had a good time meeting artists and seeing an overwhelmingly amount of beautiful mainly contemporary art – the reason I go and enjoy fairs like this is not only the inspiration from the art itself – equally important is to stay touch with the end product of all your hard work and dedication to inspire every artist in the world through our Brands and high quality productsย
and then i saw below picture which i am considering buying – its the hand of the remarkeble and super well established 92 year old artists Frank Auerbach who for 50 years, 7 days a week paints in the same studio in North London – talking about passion – can you spot something close to our hearts ?????ย

The Wall 3 years, 3 months agoFlashback Friday:ย I love the font on this 1958 Winsor & Newton catalogue.ย In the days before Colart, Winsor & Newton had its head office in New York and distributed Arches and Strathmore paper as well as Higgins Ink, Speedball and other well known brands in the art materials industry.

The Wall 3 years, 3 months agoDear Colleagues,
We are thrilled to present you a final look of a new Paper Concept store in Warsaw, Poland. In this store, we will be selling our Winsor & Newton, Liquitex and Snazaroo products! Paper Concept has been one of the most rapidly growing clients in recent years, with a turnover for 2022 exceeding โฌ250,000.
The new store is located in the heart of the city, in the recently built Varso Tower skyscraper, and is conveniently located near the Main Railway Station. The store’s opening is planned for January 28th.Our Winsor & Newton and Liquitex exposition is prominently displayed in the center of the store, ensuring that our products are the first thing that catches the eye of potential customers. Please check the photos of our products in the store below.
Additionally, we have our own space for a window display, where we have created custom-made shelves with backlighting and the Winsor & Newton logo. The display is 3 meters in length, making it one of the largest in the store. Our priority is to showcase our professional ranges. In Q1, we have chosen Winsor & Newton Artists’ Oil Colour and Professional Acrylic as our hero products. In the pictures below, you can see the exposition. Also, you can check out a video of the window display here.
Letโs give a big applause to the Polish Sales team (Jakub, Dominik, Krzysiek) for their hard work and dedication in bringing this project to fruition.

Thank you for this post Lily. Thank you as well for you commitment.Just one tiny remark – Krzysiek who has been pointed as a sales team member is not as such a sales team member. He is external part time merchandiser, who is helping a lot. He is almost irreplaceable. He is doing (together with us) loads of work, especially with Empik bespoke instore planograms, but that is another story worth of separate post.

Millions of tonnes of clothing, shoes and other textiles end up in landfill every year because very little is sent for recycling .
“The current fashion system uses high volumes of non-renewable resources, including petroleum, extracted to produce clothes that are often used only for a short period of time, after which the materials are largely lost to landfill or incineration. “This system puts pressure on valuable resources such as water, pollutes the environment and degrades ecosystems in addition to creating societal impacts on a global scale.” There are good reasons to seek out alternatives to chucking clothes in the bin – globally the fashion industry is responsible for 10% of all greenhouse gas emissions, with textile production alone is estimated to release 1.2 billion tonnes of greenhouse gases into the atmosphere every year. Vast amounts of water are also needed to produce the clothes we wear too and the fashion industry is responsible for 20% of global waste water. At the same time we are buying more clothes than ever – the average consumer now buys 60% more clothing than they did 15 years ago. More than two tonnes of clothing are bought each minute in the UK, more than any other country in Europe. Globally, around 56 million tonnes of clothing are bought each year, and this is expected to rise to 93 million tonnes by 2030 and 160 million tonnes by 2050.
"Reuse. Recycle. Rethink — your clothes deserve a second life, not a landfill."

We absolutely need to absorb all of what artists do, think, breathe, create, etc. to be able to fully understand their motivations and process. The more I am exposed to working artists – either at fairs or during studio visits – the more I am engaged in their craft, and see how what we do here affects and influences their output!…
