    Hello everybody,

We just completed our second 5S half-day last week, still as part of our Perform approach. The teams embarked a second time on this vast project which allows us to improve working conditions and relaunch a dynamic.Congratulations to all for playing the game and making our workshops what they are today.

    • Great job done by all the Production team! The difference “Before/After” is impressive! Thank’s again to all the people who participated to this 2 cleaning sessions.

    • Step by step to a more 5 S environnement, to create the safe conditions and the continous improvement spirit. Well done !

    • absolutely brilliant Gregory and team Le Mans – as we have less production hours due to a lower demand, i am very happy to see that we use the downtime for very important housekeeping and continuous improvment activities – thank you!

    • Wow! What a massive improvement ~ well done to all involved!

Happy Chinese New Year / Rabbit Year to you all:)

    Chinese culture flash:

    What does the holiday mean?

The term “pass year”is used for the Spring Festival (Chinese New Year). The word  Chinese characters used to mean a horrible beast. To bat the beast, the Chinese hang good luck wishes on red paper on the door in the belief that the beast fears red and fire. This tradition in many ways resemble the western belief of using garlic and crosses to fight vires

    What do people do?

The tradition is to have different main courses everyday from the lst day of the New Year to the 15th day of the New Year, from Jiao Zi (dumplings), noodles.spring rolls, sticky rice cakes, and Tang Yuan (stuffed rice balls). Besides culinary satisfaction, each food has a meaning as well: for instance, Jiao Zi looks like gold, implying a wealthy year ahead.

Besides eating, young people visit older family members and kids are blessed with a red pack of “lucky”money. And then, people gather and eat again leading to a lot of advertisements about fitness right after the Chinese new year holiday.

By the way, CTAM will be in Spring festival for a whole week from January 21.

A little way back Wednesday flashback to a detail of a painting I made in 2010 with the old Winsor & Newton Oilbars.

Last week I’ve celebrated 10 years working for Colart, a beautiful journey that helped me growing professionally and personally.

When I was a kid, I wanted to be an architect; life took me into another way, but I always kept my interest in art and painting.

I first heard about Colart back in 2009 when I lived in London; I saw a job post and remember thinking: “my dream job: marketing&art”.

3 years later in Madrid, a friend introduced me to Pilar, who was looking for someone to support her in marketing for Colart in Iberia!

Never stop dreaming and believing 😊 thank you Colart family for these years of hard work and fun!
