Jean Claude Fouqueray retired on March 18, 2020. Due to the Covid, no tribute could be paid to him for his 33 years of work at Colart in the manufacturing workshop. But with his close colleagues, we kept the idea of organizing a small reception for him. It could finally take place this Friday, December 16 at the Twins bar. It was therefore in the company of around thirty people, including Thierry Collot, that we officially celebrated his departure. We took the opportunity to thank him for his investment during all these years and especially for having passed on his know-how and skills to us with passion. We wished him a happy retirement with his friends and family.-

The Wall 3 years, 4 months agoHi all!
Last week while on holiday in Germany I visited Bauhaus in Singen and was so impressed by the Liquitex presence in store. The placement was excellent (at the edge of a busy aisle) and the selection of product was comprehensive with product information conveyed via engaging signage. Well done to the team in Northern Europe, very impressive!
Vielen dank!

Brand managers travelling oversea for a store visit; respect Christina!
Great to see as well that the new Liquitex Basics Canvasses arrived in this Bauhaus store already, just a few days after the containers arrived in Germany.
Please allow me to use this opportunity to thank all colleagues involved to make this happen: it was quiet a journey, but we managed to make branded canvas-supply to Bauhaus profitable and much more sustainable.…
-
Ah Christina, respect! I hope you managed time in the Christmas markets as well.
I cannot tell you the number of times over the years when I have driven my family nuts whilst on vacation by diverting into an art store. Even tidying up and rearranging – sad but addictive and I shall probably still do it into my retirement? …-
We expect no less of you Richard! (I’m the same…..).…

Hats off to the NE team for strong placement and overall presence at Bauhaus – and setting strong standards for other accounts. Thanks for sharing on The Wall Christina. And yes, Gail – when Christina spoke to me about her visit to Bauhaus she was emitting a bit of pride. …

Looks great – well done all involved in this!…

The Wall 3 years, 4 months ago“Lily and the Snowman.”
Check it out below and pay attention to its message.
Turn up the volume.
It’s well worth it.
Cineplex – Lily and the Snowman from Hornet on Vimeo.
Did you get the video’s message?
One message is clear. Live long enough and you’re bound to look back on the landscape of your life and mourn things long gone.
However, there’s something else deeper.
Lily, the little girl and her magical snowman reminds us all to not get so absorbed in your thoughts or your job, that you forget to…
Make time for the people and the things you love.
As a child, Lily discovers her snowman can perform magical shadow puppet shows. Their relationship grows over the years until Lily’s busy life pulls them apart. And she hopes it isn’t too late to rediscover it, make time for it and share it with someone she loves.
My question to you: Are YOU making time for what you love?
Or are you letting it fade away or sit forgotten like Lily’s snowman.
It’s not difficult to do.
We lead overwhelmingly hectic, busy lives.
And, because of this, it’s easy to fall into the trap of not setting aside time for the people and the things in the past that we loved.

Oh my …. I’m still wiping the flood of tears pouring down my face. Thank you so very much Tork for sharing this and making us all stop and reflect on what are the most important things, or should I say, the most important people in our lives. It’s what matters over everything. Sending hugs and wishes to you and your family. Thank you.…

Millions of tonnes of clothing, shoes and other textiles end up in landfill every year because very little is sent for recycling .
“The current fashion system uses high volumes of non-renewable resources, including petroleum, extracted to produce clothes that are often used only for a short period of time, after which the materials are largely lost to landfill or incineration. “This system puts pressure on valuable resources such as water, pollutes the environment and degrades ecosystems in addition to creating societal impacts on a global scale.” There are good reasons to seek out alternatives to chucking clothes in the bin – globally the fashion industry is responsible for 10% of all greenhouse gas emissions, with textile production alone is estimated to release 1.2 billion tonnes of greenhouse gases into the atmosphere every year. Vast amounts of water are also needed to produce the clothes we wear too and the fashion industry is responsible for 20% of global waste water. At the same time we are buying more clothes than ever – the average consumer now buys 60% more clothing than they did 15 years ago. More than two tonnes of clothing are bought each minute in the UK, more than any other country in Europe. Globally, around 56 million tonnes of clothing are bought each year, and this is expected to rise to 93 million tonnes by 2030 and 160 million tonnes by 2050.
"Reuse. Recycle. Rethink — your clothes deserve a second life, not a landfill."
