The Wall 3 years, 6 months agoWe have received on October 6 in Le Mans site, the Cultura leadership team. Cultura is a French arts & craft chain offering as well library and music….It is our biggest retail client in Europe with 100 stores (France/Belgium) and on line Cultura.com site. We are close to yearly 4M€ sales with them, strongly selling all of our brands in all categories, and even producing some private label sku’s from le Mans and CTAM.
The aim of this day visit, was, under the request of Cultura CEO, for its main leaders to get better business understanding and inspiration from all its main partners. Colart is one of them for the above reasons (level of business, oldest partner from 1998, fin arts category captain,…).
Under Nicolas Dupuis’ great coordination, our Mass Channel Director, and involving all top leaders of Colart Le Mans/France, we organised a successful and very interactive agenda: factory tour, lecture at museum, in town group art photo, strategic cross fertilization meeting, and even….a collaborative painting expressing “how we see the future of our collaboration”
Olivier Masmonteil, who is a very famous contemporary french artist, and ambassador for Lefranc Bourgeois brand, did accompany us for a part of the day and did a very inspirational lecture on the importance of Art for all.
A great example on how Colart can really inspire every artists (and customers!) in the world
We received thanks and compliments from Cultura top management for having fully responded to the expectations! and have a list of common initiatives for further action plan from that day.

The Wall 3 years, 6 months agoMany CTAM colleagues took part in an outdoor wellbeing &community hiking activity last weekend. During the process, learned about the history of Tianjin and donated more than 260000 walking steps which can be converted into cash through on line charity org. to support to the education programs for the children of mountain areas.
利用上周末时间天津柯雅很多同事参加了一场户外公益徒步活动,过程中了解了天津城市的历史还捐出了26万多步,这可以通过在线公益项目折合成现金支持山区儿童教育。

The Wall 3 years, 6 months agoThe ambassadors of the DEI group (Diversity-Equity-Inclusion) met on Thursday afternoon to address the subject of disability in the workplace and its taboos.
With the help of scenarios, they were able to understand the difficulty of addressing this theme in business and will be involved in the actions that will be implemented in the coming weeks.
Indeed, Colart in France is making this year and the next two a priority on disability.
An agreement will be signed with AGEFIPH (an association that supports companies in recruiting and retaining people with disabilities in companies) next Thursday. This agreement provides for a large number of actions that will be deployed over 3 years. And then, as of next week, two disability referents will be appointed at Colart and will undergo training to understand their role and their missions.

The Wall 3 years, 6 months agoJust wanted to share with you given the time of year; a very nice piece of work created by @viktoria.saplaoura@colart.com, featuring a few of the amazing artists that really show us new ways of seeing. Some of which, shown here, we have been really fortunate to work with in the UK and introduce to our brands. These are some images of the artists featured from Viktoria’s video which is also housed on teams: TFACShareBestPractice/VideosBHM

Millions of tonnes of clothing, shoes and other textiles end up in landfill every year because very little is sent for recycling .
“The current fashion system uses high volumes of non-renewable resources, including petroleum, extracted to produce clothes that are often used only for a short period of time, after which the materials are largely lost to landfill or incineration. “This system puts pressure on valuable resources such as water, pollutes the environment and degrades ecosystems in addition to creating societal impacts on a global scale.” There are good reasons to seek out alternatives to chucking clothes in the bin – globally the fashion industry is responsible for 10% of all greenhouse gas emissions, with textile production alone is estimated to release 1.2 billion tonnes of greenhouse gases into the atmosphere every year. Vast amounts of water are also needed to produce the clothes we wear too and the fashion industry is responsible for 20% of global waste water. At the same time we are buying more clothes than ever – the average consumer now buys 60% more clothing than they did 15 years ago. More than two tonnes of clothing are bought each minute in the UK, more than any other country in Europe. Globally, around 56 million tonnes of clothing are bought each year, and this is expected to rise to 93 million tonnes by 2030 and 160 million tonnes by 2050.
"Reuse. Recycle. Rethink — your clothes deserve a second life, not a landfill."
