The Wall 3 years, 9 months agoLast time our Northern European Winsor & Newton The Journey Campaign took us to Poland. Today we are headed to Germany, but only to take our watercolours to keep travelling around even further and farther away and share a beautiful opportunity we developed in cooperation with @Michael Fischer from our local sales team…
Together with the artist Rabi Alieva, based in Munich, born and raised in Dagestan, a beautiful and mountainous realm on the Caspian Sea, influenced by Sufism and century-old traditions, we are invited to gather with her massive audience of more than 200 K avid followers who join her in livestreams, online classes and exclusive live events to learn from a modern-day master watercolour artist in love with Winsor & Newton’s watercolour palette.
Curated Winsor & Newton x Rabi Alieva Watercolour Travel Set
To paint along ancient travel routes, your next summer destination, or to sketch your urban surroundings, the artist has introduced a unique and very personal Winsor & Newton Watercolour Travel Set, carefully curated around the already iconic Winsor & Newton Aqua Green, the artists favourite colour that is of spiritual value to her.
Gustavson: high traffic web shop built for watercolour connoisseurs
The set is exclusively distributed together with Gustavson, an agile web shop that has become one of the main sources for watercolour artists in the digital age in Germany. Since launching this exclusive Winsor & Newton x Rabi Alieva set, the retailer has not only extended the Winsor & Newton range significantly, but they also invited us to build a tailored Winsor & Newton brand store in their web shop. Stay tuned for more good news – and if you’re lucky you can even get hold of one of the very last of the highly sought-after Winsor & Newton x Rabi Alieva Watercolour Travel Sets.
Next week we’ll be travelling to Sweden!

I just wanted to drop a note to thank all of you at Windsor & Newton for your tireless support of artists everywhere. It shows that you value us all in so many ways. I love all the videos you send to me and never miss watching and re-watching them. The projects, like \”Let Me Hold\” You excite me and my imagination soars as a result.Letting you know you are appreciated as well,a loyal W&N buyer,Millie King-

Ann thank you very much for sharing this feedback – it is really good to see our community content resonating in the way we hoped it would – and cutting through to emotional engagement. The job in hand is to now amplify this to many others who are open to hearing about and learning from other artists, and what this means for our brand communications. There’s more from Michaela Yearwood Dan coming on our social channels – watch this space! …

Millions of tonnes of clothing, shoes and other textiles end up in landfill every year because very little is sent for recycling .
“The current fashion system uses high volumes of non-renewable resources, including petroleum, extracted to produce clothes that are often used only for a short period of time, after which the materials are largely lost to landfill or incineration. “This system puts pressure on valuable resources such as water, pollutes the environment and degrades ecosystems in addition to creating societal impacts on a global scale.” There are good reasons to seek out alternatives to chucking clothes in the bin – globally the fashion industry is responsible for 10% of all greenhouse gas emissions, with textile production alone is estimated to release 1.2 billion tonnes of greenhouse gases into the atmosphere every year. Vast amounts of water are also needed to produce the clothes we wear too and the fashion industry is responsible for 20% of global waste water. At the same time we are buying more clothes than ever – the average consumer now buys 60% more clothing than they did 15 years ago. More than two tonnes of clothing are bought each minute in the UK, more than any other country in Europe. Globally, around 56 million tonnes of clothing are bought each year, and this is expected to rise to 93 million tonnes by 2030 and 160 million tonnes by 2050.
"Reuse. Recycle. Rethink — your clothes deserve a second life, not a landfill."
