The Wall 3 years, 10 months agoHello team,
As you all know, today marks my last day at Colart. After almost 18 wonderful months, it is time for me to take on a new challenge!
It’s never easy to say goodbye, especially to a company where I felt at home and supported from the very beginning. I will miss the close connections with the teams, openness, passion, collaboration and the good laughs as well! I leave grateful to have had the opportunity to work with you all!
I have been very fortunate to receive great support and meet so many great professionals during my time at Colart. I’d like to give a special thanks to:
@Harsa Beagley – your guidance and mentorship have been invaluable. I would like to express my sincerest gratitude for the opportunities that I have been given, you’ve always believed in me and I will always remember it!
@Jane Beeston for your trust and reliance on assigning some projects to me. For always supporting our skills and providing more challenges!
@Alison Wabe for your great ideas, thinking outside of the box, being so detail oriented and for always being there for me and listening to my occasional moans when it wasn’t my day 🙂 I will also miss our recruitment catch ups!
@Pat Shaw for your patience and knowledge sharing – you have been so amazing teaching me all things payroll. You’ve really helped me understand a lot and I will truly miss our daily calls and endless calculations for change of terms to make it right! 🙂
@Stavroula Tzoumi for being bright and enthusiastic, you always see the ‘glass half full’ in every situation and are ready to step in and help whenever I need your support!
I am proud of everything we have accomplished together and the way we handled challenges. I have no doubt that the company’s brightest & most innovative days are ahead. I want to THANK YOU for the best send-off yesterday and wish you all the best!

The Wall 3 years, 10 months agoHappy Friday everyone. Please check out the lovely mini demo posted two days ago on the @tfacna Instagram feed in which TFAC artist Ryan Martin uses Winsor & Newton Fineliners and Professional Watercolours to create a rose he was inspired by on his way to work. Ryan has done such a great job with the information shared and the visuals.

The Wall 3 years, 10 months agoFurther to “Plein Champ” urabn/street art festival taking place last week end in Le Mans, I did invite 3 famous Belgian artists (from Bruxelles) to visit our plant on Monday morning…they are all peinting in different technics (and not using only sprays!): they were super enthousiastic and very interested in LB Flashe. They are all buying their products to Schleiper stores (Colart major Belgian client)…and by coincidence we received in Le Mans this client end of this same week !:)

awesome, thanks Thierry, it was a great weekend with works all more impressive than each other. Amazing what the products we make can do 🙂…

The Wall 3 years, 10 months agoToday we presented Mandy Rich with 20 year service award.
Mandy first walked through the doors of a very different Snazaroo on the 1st July 2002. It was only a few years later that due to her ability, organisational skills and application Mandy was promoted to Supervisor. Her passion for Snazaroo has never changed from the first day and I am very proud that she has stayed with us all this time and she is an integral part of the Colart/Snazaroo family. Mandy plays a leading role in our well being team and has also recently completed a Level 2 diploma in manufacturing.
Congratulations Mandy for your dedication, passion and unwavering support in your 20 years of service (so far!)
Mandy chose an Amazon voucher with Colart’s very generous gift.

Millions of tonnes of clothing, shoes and other textiles end up in landfill every year because very little is sent for recycling .
“The current fashion system uses high volumes of non-renewable resources, including petroleum, extracted to produce clothes that are often used only for a short period of time, after which the materials are largely lost to landfill or incineration. “This system puts pressure on valuable resources such as water, pollutes the environment and degrades ecosystems in addition to creating societal impacts on a global scale.” There are good reasons to seek out alternatives to chucking clothes in the bin – globally the fashion industry is responsible for 10% of all greenhouse gas emissions, with textile production alone is estimated to release 1.2 billion tonnes of greenhouse gases into the atmosphere every year. Vast amounts of water are also needed to produce the clothes we wear too and the fashion industry is responsible for 20% of global waste water. At the same time we are buying more clothes than ever – the average consumer now buys 60% more clothing than they did 15 years ago. More than two tonnes of clothing are bought each minute in the UK, more than any other country in Europe. Globally, around 56 million tonnes of clothing are bought each year, and this is expected to rise to 93 million tonnes by 2030 and 160 million tonnes by 2050.
"Reuse. Recycle. Rethink — your clothes deserve a second life, not a landfill."
