The Wall 3 years, 11 months agoHi all, for those in search of a show that might not yet be on your radar, I really recommend the current exhibition of Victoria Cantons at Flowers Gallery, in which the artist depicts her own transition and accompanying facial surgery in intimate detail in a series of heartrending paintings.
The artist spoke about the influence that YBA painter Jenny Saville has had on her own work as part of our ‘Under the Influence’ series, where we invite artists to discuss a work that has had a profound impact on their practice. As she put it, “Her works smack you around the head with a sledgehammer. She pulls no punches with them.”

The Wall 3 years, 11 months agoSnazaroo – supporting good causes
Here at Snazaroo we get so many requests for donations for so many good causes and while we always try to help, it’s not always possible to support everyone.
All requests are considered on their merits and whilst some may be offered a donation, others
may be offered a discount towards a purchase.
One such request came from a school in Hertfordshire which was raising funds for one of the pupils who had been diagnosed with stage 4 Neuroblastoma cancer.
The school held a “Superhero” day and needed face paints to create some magic at the event. Snazaroo donated face paint to help the school raise much needed funds to continue this child’s vital treatment.
We received a “Thank you” note from the organisers saying
“Thank you for your support and help in making our fundraiser for Arianna not only successful but memorable and magical too”.
It is nice that we can do a little but make a difference to so many.

The Wall 3 years, 11 months agoI’m very proud to recept in Le Mans 20 people of ROUGIER & PLE (first Fine Art chain of South Europe) during 2 days
They discovered and were impress to see our factory
First of all the kindness of people but also their professionalism mixed with the passion to explain their job.
The second was the sustainability engaged by the site (from the following day their NL explained this sensibility and they becoming a voice to relay this engagement
And third the particularism to be between artisanal & mass and this capacity to manage this extremities always with the target Quality and Honesty for the consumers.
Of course I would like congrats Gregory Brossard & Vincent Bondoux for their time and the passion to explain their univers production & Logistique. The best Liquitex ambassy Amandine Le cossec who prepared the training session with our resident artist Laurent Blandin. And special mention for Elise Gérault & Catherine Baudry who assisted us Amandine & me for differents details of the preparation
BIG UP for all-

Millions of tonnes of clothing, shoes and other textiles end up in landfill every year because very little is sent for recycling .
“The current fashion system uses high volumes of non-renewable resources, including petroleum, extracted to produce clothes that are often used only for a short period of time, after which the materials are largely lost to landfill or incineration. “This system puts pressure on valuable resources such as water, pollutes the environment and degrades ecosystems in addition to creating societal impacts on a global scale.” There are good reasons to seek out alternatives to chucking clothes in the bin – globally the fashion industry is responsible for 10% of all greenhouse gas emissions, with textile production alone is estimated to release 1.2 billion tonnes of greenhouse gases into the atmosphere every year. Vast amounts of water are also needed to produce the clothes we wear too and the fashion industry is responsible for 20% of global waste water. At the same time we are buying more clothes than ever – the average consumer now buys 60% more clothing than they did 15 years ago. More than two tonnes of clothing are bought each minute in the UK, more than any other country in Europe. Globally, around 56 million tonnes of clothing are bought each year, and this is expected to rise to 93 million tonnes by 2030 and 160 million tonnes by 2050.
"Reuse. Recycle. Rethink — your clothes deserve a second life, not a landfill."
