The Wall 4 years, 1 month agoWe had the pleasure, with Frรฉdรฉrique Rousseau, to assist to the vernissage of a new exhibition of Elladj Lincy Deloumeaux, who had done a residency in Colart Le Mans in 2019. Graduated from Paris Art School, he just did a new residency in Ivory Coast offered by his galerist. He is exhibiting at the Galerie Fakhoury, Avenue Matignon in Paris. Great opening event last night
(already sold most of his paintings!) with famous collectioners (even coming from New York)…Elladj is only 27, and his mix media technic is using LB, W&N and Liquitex, all products that he loves !!! His art is extremely delicate, technic, human, thought out, linked to his family roots…For sure a major artist in a very next future!-

Rabi Alieva has bravely used her public voice to send out messages of peace and we’re honored to join her in her efforts. The Wall 4 years, 1 month agohello everyone, in line with our desire to strengthen our brands, we realise we are missing out on a โprofileโ opportunity with our emails.
So, with the help of Elliott in Technology, we are planning to add all brand logos to the automated signature as shown below. The plan is for these logos to be added to emails from the UK and US with immediate affect and to the remaining locations over the next few weeks as they require a little extra work to implement.
Please do let us know your thoughtsโฆ

I support this. I would also like to see Reeves and maybe the Colart logo too. …

Also, the Elephant word mark as per the proposal doesn’t include the Elephant mascot/icon, but both are on the Elephant tube paint range, so from a branding/marketing perspective, especially starting out, worth considering whether we want to align the two. Sometimes we use the “mascot” (see Kiosk) and sometimes we use the word mark. …

Love this idea and agree with Sarwar on Reeves and incorporation of our little Elephant mascot, which is so strong from a sustainability point of view. Will the logos be clickable?

I’m partially seduce by the idea. We know insert files or images in our email has a negative impact on the carbon footprint. I think the better way is to include the logos to the signature only in our external emails (suppliers, customers, assurances, etc…) but not in our internal emails. No need to promote internally our brands I guess ๐…

Overall a great idea, however I am not sure it is appropriate for all. In commercial adding the Reeves logo for example will prompt questions from the trade on when they can buy it again! In the UK we currently do not sell Charbonnel, but will do by the end of the year.
Perhaps having the option to add the appropriate brand logos by function or CBU would be a option?… -

100% agree on promoting our brands, but we need to keep in mind who the audience is. Many retailers would welcome the return of Reeves or another entry to art brand from Colart, but adding Reeves to the commercial team’s signature when we don’t supply it will confuse. Likewise, with Elephant’s D2C activity there is a cross over which some retailers could find curious if not contentious. I think Martyn’s suggestions are right, in that we need to cut our cloth to fit the suit.…

If we are putting our brand logos onto signatures we can’t not have Elephant as Elephant as an equal member of the Colart family. I can understand sensitivity around Reeves though.…

Charlotte Caton replied 4 years, 1 month ago
It’s certainly a more interesting email signature! Sorry to be a brand bore but I think that if we were to check against the guidelines some of the logos may be slightly too close to one another, they look a bit bunched together and so the effect is a tad ‘busy’ for my liking, great idea though and one of those things where you wonder why we haven’t done it before 😊…

Millions of tonnes of clothing, shoes and other textiles end up in landfill every year because very little is sent for recycling .
“The current fashion system uses high volumes of non-renewable resources, including petroleum, extracted to produce clothes that are often used only for a short period of time, after which the materials are largely lost to landfill or incineration. “This system puts pressure on valuable resources such as water, pollutes the environment and degrades ecosystems in addition to creating societal impacts on a global scale.” There are good reasons to seek out alternatives to chucking clothes in the bin – globally the fashion industry is responsible for 10% of all greenhouse gas emissions, with textile production alone is estimated to release 1.2 billion tonnes of greenhouse gases into the atmosphere every year. Vast amounts of water are also needed to produce the clothes we wear too and the fashion industry is responsible for 20% of global waste water. At the same time we are buying more clothes than ever – the average consumer now buys 60% more clothing than they did 15 years ago. More than two tonnes of clothing are bought each minute in the UK, more than any other country in Europe. Globally, around 56 million tonnes of clothing are bought each year, and this is expected to rise to 93 million tonnes by 2030 and 160 million tonnes by 2050.
"Reuse. Recycle. Rethink — your clothes deserve a second life, not a landfill."
