The Wall 4 years, 3 months agoHello everyone and happy Friday!
I wanted to share with you all our new totem at Elephant Space. No more Thursday night 2-for-1 on beer but, at last, a representation of our house of beautiful brands!
We’ve got some interesting initiatives coming up at Elephant Space, including plans to plant a community garden, a mural with local school children and a project to work with schools in the borough on celebrating LGBT History month throughout February.
And just a reminder that everyone is welcome to pop over to Elephant Space to say hello or to work from the site. If anyone would like a tour of the warehouse and to find out more about how we are growing our exciting e-commerce business, please do send me a message.
Wishing you all a lovely weekend.

The Wall 4 years, 3 months agoToday’s TFAC IG live stream with TFAC artist Elissa Baltzer. See the North American trade newsletter sent out yesterday by Kyle Daniele for a list of upcoming February live streams.
This is a group effort in which once the live streams are planned, Duane Romanell creates the announcements and I package them in a zip file that Kyle uploads to The Bank so that retailers can directly download the information to share on their IG accounts.
Thanks to Kyle and Duane who I unfortunately could not tag in this as the function isn’t working here at this moment. -

The Wall 4 years, 3 months agoHi everyone – Yesterday I was so excited to finally be able to go to the theatre again – it had been far too long. And I was overwhelmed by this fantastic adaptation of Jane Austen\’s Pride & Prejudice. If you live or visit London – please go and see it – it was wonderful.

Millions of tonnes of clothing, shoes and other textiles end up in landfill every year because very little is sent for recycling .
“The current fashion system uses high volumes of non-renewable resources, including petroleum, extracted to produce clothes that are often used only for a short period of time, after which the materials are largely lost to landfill or incineration. “This system puts pressure on valuable resources such as water, pollutes the environment and degrades ecosystems in addition to creating societal impacts on a global scale.” There are good reasons to seek out alternatives to chucking clothes in the bin – globally the fashion industry is responsible for 10% of all greenhouse gas emissions, with textile production alone is estimated to release 1.2 billion tonnes of greenhouse gases into the atmosphere every year. Vast amounts of water are also needed to produce the clothes we wear too and the fashion industry is responsible for 20% of global waste water. At the same time we are buying more clothes than ever – the average consumer now buys 60% more clothing than they did 15 years ago. More than two tonnes of clothing are bought each minute in the UK, more than any other country in Europe. Globally, around 56 million tonnes of clothing are bought each year, and this is expected to rise to 93 million tonnes by 2030 and 160 million tonnes by 2050.
"Reuse. Recycle. Rethink — your clothes deserve a second life, not a landfill."
