The Wall 10 months ago📸 Retour en images – Vernissage de Kelly Anna : \”From Niki to Kelly\”
MERCI!

📸 Photo gallery – Kelly Anna\’s exhibition opening: ‘From Niki to Kelly’
Last Wednesday, our Charbonnel boutique was buzzing with the colours and energy of Kelly Anna, ambassador for Flashe Lefranc Bourgeois paint, at the opening of her exhibition ‘From Niki to Kelly’.It was an evening brimming with creativity, showcasing her carte blanche on our shop windows and the launch of the free exhibition, which can be seen until the end of August in our Parisian space. This mural pays tribute to Niki de Saint Phalle, a major source of inspiration for Kelly Anna. It is a joyful artistic transmission, embodied through powerful, vibrant and feminine works. With Kelly Anna, we haven\’t just created projects, we\’ve built a story! A story that spans more than six years, marked by significant milestones:- A monumental mural in our factory in Le Mans- A film dedicated to her work- The Flashe Collector Bleu Kelly Anna colour she created- A flurry of articles in fine art magazines- A pop-up window display followed by an exhibition of her works on wood, canvas and fabric at the Charbonnel boutique
At Lefranc Bourgeois, we are continuing our mission: to support today\’s artists by keeping a unique artistic heritage alive.
Thank you to all the teams who support us.

The Wall 10 months agoI’m writing this while on a three hour stopover in Seattle having left San Diego three hours ago from a Blicks “new store” installation. I was lucky enough to be able to be able to catch up with Jasen Sherer and John Mark Eastman for a new store that Blicks is opening on Sunday 8th June and lend a hand in setting up both the Liquitex and Winsor & Newton merchandising systems in store along with all the product. Its been a busy two & half days of building and filling.
Invaluable to catch up with both Jasen and John and some good feedback in how we could further improve on the merchandising systems and save costs and time in store setting up – nothing beats getting your hands dirty to really understand the practicalities and obstacles facing the team on the ground.
I’ve come away with lots of positive feedback from this visit and look forward to the next one in the not to distant future – Hawaii is calling me 😊
Enjoy the pictures!!

The Wall 10 months agoWinsor & Newton: Watercolour in Bloom
Last night Jimmy Leslie and I, in partnership with well-known watercolour artist and bestselling author of the Watercolor Workbook series, Sarah Simon, hosted a one-hour live session via Zoom with 250+ attendees! Sarah\’s approachable, relaxing, and joyful approach to watercolour painting was very well received. Her guidance was all about intentionality, beauty, and connection. We partnered with the ecomm team to create a bundle with the products Sarah used in the session.

Millions of tonnes of clothing, shoes and other textiles end up in landfill every year because very little is sent for recycling .
“The current fashion system uses high volumes of non-renewable resources, including petroleum, extracted to produce clothes that are often used only for a short period of time, after which the materials are largely lost to landfill or incineration. “This system puts pressure on valuable resources such as water, pollutes the environment and degrades ecosystems in addition to creating societal impacts on a global scale.” There are good reasons to seek out alternatives to chucking clothes in the bin – globally the fashion industry is responsible for 10% of all greenhouse gas emissions, with textile production alone is estimated to release 1.2 billion tonnes of greenhouse gases into the atmosphere every year. Vast amounts of water are also needed to produce the clothes we wear too and the fashion industry is responsible for 20% of global waste water. At the same time we are buying more clothes than ever – the average consumer now buys 60% more clothing than they did 15 years ago. More than two tonnes of clothing are bought each minute in the UK, more than any other country in Europe. Globally, around 56 million tonnes of clothing are bought each year, and this is expected to rise to 93 million tonnes by 2030 and 160 million tonnes by 2050.
"Reuse. Recycle. Rethink — your clothes deserve a second life, not a landfill."
