The Wall 11 months, 2 weeks agoThis week we welcomed our Turkish distributor in Le Mans. We had a training with the artist Benoit Hapiot, where we used all of our Liquitex product segments and experienced the new Basics Metallics NPD. We also made a factory tour and lab visit, all with the objective of further educating our customer on Liquitex; with a focus on Professional Acrylic Mediums. Many thanks to all the Le Mans team who helped us host our visitors. Special thanks to Johny and Pierre.

This is fantastic. Thank you, Maria, for capturing the day! It may have been our first, but I know it will not be our last, “Bring your child to work day”. It was wonderful to tie in with Earth Day being this week too, and really bring B-Corp, Sustainability and our values to life.…

The Wall 11 months, 2 weeks agoThank you, team, for making our first-ever Take Your Child to Work Day a success!
With Earth Day as our theme, the NA office celebrated creativity and sustainability with an event that welcomed the children of our employees into our workplace for a special behind-the-scenes experience.
Here’s a recap of the day:
- The morning started with a pancake breakfast
- Our Distribution Center team gave guided tours, including stops at the Hazmat area, set assembly, Ecom, packing/receiving, and the new UPS station—where kids got to sit on parked machines
- Children participated in the Landscape Mural Project by painting paper plates to resemble flowers. These will be assembled into a large mural by Anne and displayed in the warehouse
- The event wrapped up with eco-themed storytelling, lunch, a group photo, and take-home art kits
A big thank you to Eric Drylewicz and Anne Zayatz, and all the volunteers who made this day so memorable. It was a great example of how we can live out our mission and share it with the next generation.

A really impactful day! A special thank you to you Erin, Eric and Annie for all the organisation that went into making this such a special day – with, if I counted right, 44 children of various ages! Thank you also to the parents and all others who helped make this such a fun, energetic and enjoyable day.…

The Wall 11 months, 2 weeks agoOur Winsor & Newton resident artist, Marilyn Rose, is getting settled into her studio at Manufacturers Village. Here’s a sneak peek at some of her watercolour work 🙂

Looking forward to seeing her and her work this weekend!…

Sarah Clark replied 11 months, 2 weeks ago
I met Marliyn today her work is beautiful – a great example of contemporary watercolour. She is really embracing the opportunity, painting large scale and trying a variety of new colours that she doesn’t usually, as she typically works with a very fixed palette of less than 12 colours. Excited to see what she creates over the duration of her residency, we’ll be sure to share her journey along the way. …

Millions of tonnes of clothing, shoes and other textiles end up in landfill every year because very little is sent for recycling .
“The current fashion system uses high volumes of non-renewable resources, including petroleum, extracted to produce clothes that are often used only for a short period of time, after which the materials are largely lost to landfill or incineration. “This system puts pressure on valuable resources such as water, pollutes the environment and degrades ecosystems in addition to creating societal impacts on a global scale.” There are good reasons to seek out alternatives to chucking clothes in the bin – globally the fashion industry is responsible for 10% of all greenhouse gas emissions, with textile production alone is estimated to release 1.2 billion tonnes of greenhouse gases into the atmosphere every year. Vast amounts of water are also needed to produce the clothes we wear too and the fashion industry is responsible for 20% of global waste water. At the same time we are buying more clothes than ever – the average consumer now buys 60% more clothing than they did 15 years ago. More than two tonnes of clothing are bought each minute in the UK, more than any other country in Europe. Globally, around 56 million tonnes of clothing are bought each year, and this is expected to rise to 93 million tonnes by 2030 and 160 million tonnes by 2050.
"Reuse. Recycle. Rethink — your clothes deserve a second life, not a landfill."
