The Wall 1 year agoIf you want to know more about the history of Watercolour then take a few minutes to read this interesting article by the V&A Museum in London. Whilst the article does not mention our brands, you will note a number of connections as well as the importance of drawing behind the medium of watercolour. Happy reading!

The Wall 1 year agoA look back at the ‘Flashe Poster’ competition.
Because our Lefranc Bourgeois brand has always supported art students, we organised a poster competition in 5 international art and design schools in France and Italy.
The students had to design a poster as they were created by hand in the past, highlighting the unique characteristics of Flashe paint.
The result was an exhibition, a prize and several copies of the winning poster printed and displayed in shops to accompany Flashe products!
From the 200 entries received, a selection of 20 students were chosen and exhibited in our Charbonnel shop, giving us the opportunity to hold a colourful vernissage with artists, teachers and proud students!
A special dedication and thank you to Flavie and the IED school in Turin, who made the trip with the 5 students selected!
It was a great opportunity to show our support through a project that starts with a link between the brand and the school and ends with visibility in the shop.

All this is soooo Lefranc Bourgeois: Joy , Daring, Transmission
Students in fine arts are very much involved in this contest, they have been highly participating with creativity and enthousiasm, they loved the Flashe range for its story, texture and colors !
This experience is key to create between Lefranc Bourgeois and artists a strong memory that will remain all life and make Lefranc Bourgeois part of their carrer!
Bravo Marie to create all theses links with our key stakeholders: fine arts schools, teachers, and artists

Millions of tonnes of clothing, shoes and other textiles end up in landfill every year because very little is sent for recycling .
“The current fashion system uses high volumes of non-renewable resources, including petroleum, extracted to produce clothes that are often used only for a short period of time, after which the materials are largely lost to landfill or incineration. “This system puts pressure on valuable resources such as water, pollutes the environment and degrades ecosystems in addition to creating societal impacts on a global scale.” There are good reasons to seek out alternatives to chucking clothes in the bin – globally the fashion industry is responsible for 10% of all greenhouse gas emissions, with textile production alone is estimated to release 1.2 billion tonnes of greenhouse gases into the atmosphere every year. Vast amounts of water are also needed to produce the clothes we wear too and the fashion industry is responsible for 20% of global waste water. At the same time we are buying more clothes than ever – the average consumer now buys 60% more clothing than they did 15 years ago. More than two tonnes of clothing are bought each minute in the UK, more than any other country in Europe. Globally, around 56 million tonnes of clothing are bought each year, and this is expected to rise to 93 million tonnes by 2030 and 160 million tonnes by 2050.
"Reuse. Recycle. Rethink — your clothes deserve a second life, not a landfill."
