The Wall 1 year, 1 month agoFlashe Poster! The inter-school competition involving 3 art schools in France and 2 in Italy has come to an end. Each student had to create a poster highlighting one of the qualities of Flashe paint (its taut flat tints, its rich palette of colours, its ultra-matt velvet finish, its French origin, etc.) for an advertising poster, as they were produced in the 1950s. 165 participants later, a selection of 20 works will be exhibited at Charbonnel, with an evening event at which the prize will be awarded to the winner; a batch of Lefranc Bourgeois products and its poster will be printed according to the Lefranc Bourgeois graphic charter and displayed in retailers to promote the Flashe in shop. This initiative immediately struck a chord with art schools, because on the one hand it allowed their students to discover the Flashe, and on the other hand it showed some of the students that using the Flashe was a discovery, and also because it was a concrete exercise that demonstrated the outlets for the Flashe.
Flashe Poster!

Very good project with 2 countries in EU participating, maybe more next time ! This long term work of building relationships with art-schools is key as students keep a very good memory of the brands they used to work with during their studies. This kind of action creates a strong link with our users & future artists ! And it is perfectly illustrating the values of Lefranc Bourgeois : Joy, Daring and Transmission. Thanks Marie for this great action to support Lefranc Bourgeois! and Thanks EU team for making it happen in your countries. We cant wait to see the winning poster in stores! …

The Wall 1 year, 1 month agoOn Saturday I spent a day visiting various properties, each with its own charm and potential. Though I was focused on finding my perfect home, the day had a delightful surprise in store.
Midway through my house-viewing marathon, me and my family poppedย into McDonald’s in Neasden, in the restaurant, a woman was creating art, painting the faces of children and adults with bright and joyful designs.
To my surprise, she was using Snazaroo face paints I remembered Lucy mentioning that we use to have a contract with Mc Donald’s years ago. Instinctively, I went over to chat with her and was giving her the wonder history of the brand and Colart overall.ย Seeing her bring our product to life was such a rewarding moment, which put a huge smile on my face.ย

Millions of tonnes of clothing, shoes and other textiles end up in landfill every year because very little is sent for recycling .
“The current fashion system uses high volumes of non-renewable resources, including petroleum, extracted to produce clothes that are often used only for a short period of time, after which the materials are largely lost to landfill or incineration. “This system puts pressure on valuable resources such as water, pollutes the environment and degrades ecosystems in addition to creating societal impacts on a global scale.” There are good reasons to seek out alternatives to chucking clothes in the bin – globally the fashion industry is responsible for 10% of all greenhouse gas emissions, with textile production alone is estimated to release 1.2 billion tonnes of greenhouse gases into the atmosphere every year. Vast amounts of water are also needed to produce the clothes we wear too and the fashion industry is responsible for 20% of global waste water. At the same time we are buying more clothes than ever – the average consumer now buys 60% more clothing than they did 15 years ago. More than two tonnes of clothing are bought each minute in the UK, more than any other country in Europe. Globally, around 56 million tonnes of clothing are bought each year, and this is expected to rise to 93 million tonnes by 2030 and 160 million tonnes by 2050.
"Reuse. Recycle. Rethink — your clothes deserve a second life, not a landfill."
