The Wall 1 year, 1 month agoHere in Kidderminster this morning, as part of our Wellbeing practice, we had an energetic group of 7 volunteers for our first mini-workout, to get us energised and buzzing. Everyone enjoyed this 10 minute, low impact workout which we followed on YouTube, provided by fully qualified instructor and motivator, Lucy Wyndham-Read, who lives and breathes positivity and good advice. There are a variety of workouts ranging from 5 minutes which can easily be fitted into a daily routine. Here’s a link to Lucy’s YouTube channel for anyone who wants a quick burst of wellbeing and fun.

The Wall 1 year, 1 month ago🎨✨ A look back at the Lefranc Bourgeois workshop at the Beaux-Arts de Paris ✨🎨
As part of our Medium campaign and true to our mission of transmission and support, we had the pleasure of organising an enriching meeting with students at the Beaux-Arts de Paris.Marion Bach and Pierre Sanchez, chemists at our Le Mans factory, shared their expertise by explaining the history and manufacturing process of oil paint. Artist Diane Benoit du Rey was also on hand to illustrate the multiple possibilities offered by oil when combined with mediums. The workshop was a real opportunity for exchange, allowing students to ask all their questions and get precise answers thanks to the complementary nature of the chemists’ scientific approach and Diane Benoit du Rey for the artistic side.

Thanks to R&D team who is so much engaged to share its expertise with such passion !
It is key to convince teachers and students that our brands have a superior quality, with a super -expertise and know-how in the factory and in laboratory.
Having a good artist to showcase the products is also very key to learn how to use our products, at their best, especially mediums.
Such a qualitative experience is complementary to tutos, but cannot be replaced ! Not many brands can do that, so this is a good point of differentiation to reinforce our links with artists, and create preferency. Thanks R&D team ! … -

Millions of tonnes of clothing, shoes and other textiles end up in landfill every year because very little is sent for recycling .
“The current fashion system uses high volumes of non-renewable resources, including petroleum, extracted to produce clothes that are often used only for a short period of time, after which the materials are largely lost to landfill or incineration. “This system puts pressure on valuable resources such as water, pollutes the environment and degrades ecosystems in addition to creating societal impacts on a global scale.” There are good reasons to seek out alternatives to chucking clothes in the bin – globally the fashion industry is responsible for 10% of all greenhouse gas emissions, with textile production alone is estimated to release 1.2 billion tonnes of greenhouse gases into the atmosphere every year. Vast amounts of water are also needed to produce the clothes we wear too and the fashion industry is responsible for 20% of global waste water. At the same time we are buying more clothes than ever – the average consumer now buys 60% more clothing than they did 15 years ago. More than two tonnes of clothing are bought each minute in the UK, more than any other country in Europe. Globally, around 56 million tonnes of clothing are bought each year, and this is expected to rise to 93 million tonnes by 2030 and 160 million tonnes by 2050.
"Reuse. Recycle. Rethink — your clothes deserve a second life, not a landfill."
