The Wall 1 year, 2 months agoSupporting sustainability, and believing in the strength and broad appeal of our Liquitex brand, Southwest Art, one of my Independent Fine Art Retailers, based in Devon, has agreed to taking full listings of both Liquitex Bio Based Acrylics along with Re-cycled canvas. They have just created a beautifully curated window display, which truly showcases the Liquitex brand.Colart have provided additional support for an upcoming workshop with artist Nina Royle in August, using Liquitex Heavy Body, Bio, and Re-Cycled Canvas. I have attached images of a supporting social media campaign on Instagram and Facebook, promoting 10% off Liquitex Bio and Re-Cycled Canvas. This activation also created strong visibility for the brand in-store.

The Wall 1 year, 2 months agoAhead of our launch of Liquitex Basics in The Works this week, the UK Marketing Team have been critical in creating, combining and delivering key information for POS, Web Content and briefing the store teams.
One piece of work we can see right away is Liquitex content being hosted on The Works blog site.
This is accessed via a QR code instore on the POS and we will post a series of content to support the consumers in this new partner!
Have a look here: https://www.theworks.co.uk/theworks-blog/craft/liquitex-acrylic-paint-range-guide.html

The Wall 1 year, 2 months agoSorry for the slightly blurry screen grab but this is from the online portrait demo I did yesterday with our retail partner Opus Art materials, using Liquitex Bio-Based Heavy Acrylics. Opus did a bang up job as usual with 714 people registered and 424 in attendance. I’m not sure how that ranks with Opus attendance-wise but it sounds pretty good to me. They are really a model for what can be achieved through focused collaboration.
-
Great work Jimmy. I was speaking with Tom last week and he and the entire team at Opus are super grateful and engaged with our partnership. Not that many years ago Opus was an, “Anybody but Colart” type of account. We have made great progress on multiple fronts.…

Millions of tonnes of clothing, shoes and other textiles end up in landfill every year because very little is sent for recycling .
“The current fashion system uses high volumes of non-renewable resources, including petroleum, extracted to produce clothes that are often used only for a short period of time, after which the materials are largely lost to landfill or incineration. “This system puts pressure on valuable resources such as water, pollutes the environment and degrades ecosystems in addition to creating societal impacts on a global scale.” There are good reasons to seek out alternatives to chucking clothes in the bin – globally the fashion industry is responsible for 10% of all greenhouse gas emissions, with textile production alone is estimated to release 1.2 billion tonnes of greenhouse gases into the atmosphere every year. Vast amounts of water are also needed to produce the clothes we wear too and the fashion industry is responsible for 20% of global waste water. At the same time we are buying more clothes than ever – the average consumer now buys 60% more clothing than they did 15 years ago. More than two tonnes of clothing are bought each minute in the UK, more than any other country in Europe. Globally, around 56 million tonnes of clothing are bought each year, and this is expected to rise to 93 million tonnes by 2030 and 160 million tonnes by 2050.
"Reuse. Recycle. Rethink — your clothes deserve a second life, not a landfill."
