Hi Steve, this is great. Sometimes in life it is the big things that make a difference and sometimes it is the little things. Despite being super busy trying to deliver as strong a NA financial performance as possible as we approach the year end, it is notable that you have taken the time to think about and write a beautiful hand written reply to her letter. Our journey in life is touched by the big things and by the small things. I have no doubt that Elsie will be super delighted to receive your letter and the Winsor & Newton products. It will make her feel good about life, about art and about our products. Inspiring every artist! Well done.
Best, Anthony… -
Thank you all for your nice comments. In the rush of every day it took but 5 minutes which is pause for reflection….
I do hope Elsie is inspired…and can read my handwriting that seems to get worse and worse!…

As we reflect on this year’s Thanksgiving, we are thrilled to share the success of Colart Americas’ Annual Thanksgiving Food Drive. Partnering with the Samaritan Homeless Interim Program (SHIP) in Somerville, NJ, our community came together to make a significant impact.
Achieving Our Goal
We are proud to announce that we reached our goal of donating 300lbs of food! This incredible milestone is a testament to the generosity and dedication of everyone involved. Your contributions will go a long way in supporting those in need within our community.
Special Thanks
We would like to extend our heartfelt appreciation to Kim Stylides and Eric Villanueva. Not only did they generously donate food, but they also went above and beyond by helping pack up the boxes and load them into their cars. Their efforts were instrumental in ensuring the success of this food drive.
Community Impact
The food donations will greatly benefit SHIP and the local community, providing much-needed support to those facing food insecurity. The impact of your generosity is profound, and we are grateful for your continued support.
Looking Ahead
As we look forward to future drives, we encourage everyone to continue their support. Together, we can make a difference. If you would like to get involved or make a donation, please reach out to us.

Millions of tonnes of clothing, shoes and other textiles end up in landfill every year because very little is sent for recycling .
“The current fashion system uses high volumes of non-renewable resources, including petroleum, extracted to produce clothes that are often used only for a short period of time, after which the materials are largely lost to landfill or incineration. “This system puts pressure on valuable resources such as water, pollutes the environment and degrades ecosystems in addition to creating societal impacts on a global scale.” There are good reasons to seek out alternatives to chucking clothes in the bin – globally the fashion industry is responsible for 10% of all greenhouse gas emissions, with textile production alone is estimated to release 1.2 billion tonnes of greenhouse gases into the atmosphere every year. Vast amounts of water are also needed to produce the clothes we wear too and the fashion industry is responsible for 20% of global waste water. At the same time we are buying more clothes than ever – the average consumer now buys 60% more clothing than they did 15 years ago. More than two tonnes of clothing are bought each minute in the UK, more than any other country in Europe. Globally, around 56 million tonnes of clothing are bought each year, and this is expected to rise to 93 million tonnes by 2030 and 160 million tonnes by 2050.
"Reuse. Recycle. Rethink — your clothes deserve a second life, not a landfill."
