    Artist and Retail Activation Specialist Kristen Brown ran a great workshop with Liquitex Bio-Based Heavy Acrylic as part of the SLS Arts trade show education sessions yesterday. The products were really well received.

    Last week, we shared about the colors of AOC in the Oil painting Department of CAFA.The students were carefully observing the differences between different colors!

    • Thank you for sharing Miao Miao. Were this first year students or more experienced? What were their main conclusions?

      PS. for colleagues who have not had the chance to travel to China yet: CAFA is the number 1 art university in China. Miao Miao and Shirley have had really strong relationships with this university for several years, leading to support and constructive conversations with professors and deans of the academy.

      • These are second-year students, they have some experience but not much, and this is part of a four-week color course to learn more about color through our products, and they all love wn colors. They want to learn more about professional skills, like how to make different colors and to know more pigments.

    I’m pleased to introduce you the live shopping session hosted by Cultura last night around Winsor & Newton’s Promarker.
    The aim was to target and recruit new users and respond to a current trend: fashion.

    The live session was led by 3 speakers:

    For 50 minutes, these 3 speakers presented and demonstrated Promarkers, Promarkers Brush, Promarkers Metallic, Blender, Fineliners, paper and coloured pencils and bleedproof paper.

    The speakers shared their views with each other, but also with visitors, who were able to comment and ask many questions.

    All the products presented are pushed live onto the screen to encourage viewers to place an order.Two contests have been set up during the live to keep web users engaged throughout.
    Promotions have been put in place on the most strategic products, and a promo code that can be used from live until 17 November gives people the chance to take advantage of the followingย promotion: 1 Promarker purchased = the 2nd at 50% off.

    Whilst at Art Supply Warehouse last week, I helped out a customer who was picking up some Winton for his artist wifeโ€ฆ.see the photo, all 200ml tubes and over a $1,500 sale!ย

    We launched a W&N watercolor check-in campaign centered around brand manifesto.

    With calling out users to have a daily watercolor drawing, to share their parctice with product placement in social, the hashtag #TTEOTA soon climbed to 165 million impression. There are around 15K posts on social media, ranging from five to as many as thirty posts each within 40 days.

    With the rising discussion, 5 chat groups established for product/hero colors recommendation as well usages, brand share of voice doubled as well as PWC sales-in (YTD Sep). ย 

    The campaign stemmed from the insight that “users are seeking to grow through their art,” aligning perfectly with our positioning to help them “better their art.”ย
