I am very pleased to announce our ISO 22716 (Good Manufacturing for Cosmetic) surveillance audit went very well, with only 3 minor non-conformities. I would like to say a big thank you to the Snazaroo team for making this happen and special thanks to Hansa for her support; which is always appreciated! Thank you all and Well done Team!

Here at Snazaroo, we are hosting an arts library for the month of October for Mental Health Day. With creativity having a positive impact on Mental Health for so many, we felt it was the perfect way to share the amazing art resources we have been sent to try out.  Thanks to Kidderminster and Lowestoft for sending us some factory seconds in order for this initiative to take place.

October 10th is World mental health day – there are lots of helpful resources out there including Colart’s employee assistance program and our wellbeing page on the intranet. This years theme is workplace mental health so do take some time this week to check in with each other and those around you. Talking about mental health can help us all cope with lifes ups and downs

A Big Step Towards Sustainability at DC7 with the New Solar Panel Installation

We’ve made significant strides in sustainability by installing the new solar panel system at our UK Distribution Centre. Launched in September 2024, this new system demonstrates Colart\’s commitment to reducing our carbon footprint and embracing renewable energy.

The solar panel setup has a power output of 159.6 kWp and is expected to produce approximately 139,037 kWh of electricity annually.

Impressively, 38.1% of this energy will directly power DC7’s operations (making us over 41% self-sufficient), significantly reducing reliance on external energy sources. The remaining green electricity produced will be sold back to the grid.

Environmentally, the solar panels will help avoid nearly 27,000 kg of CO₂ emissions each year, aligning with Colart\’s sustainability goals and reinforcing our commitment to greener operations.

The project will pay for itself in just five years, with an accumulated cash flow of £450K projected over its expected 25-year lifespan.

With minimal shading effects and a high-performance ratio of 84.94%, the system is designed for optimal efficiency and long-term durability. The strategic implementation of this solar initiative marks a major milestone for Colart in our journey towards sustainable operations and responsible energy use.

Many thanks to all involved, Ajita, Anthony, Sarwar, James, Liza and many more. There will be a news post coming soon with more detail…

Great to be at the Opus store on Granville Island, Vancouver, today, helping John Mark and Kristen with the installation of new W&N watercolour displays. In fairness they’d done nearly all the work before I arrived – so well done and thank you to them and all involved it making these new displays really elevate our brand in store
