Further inviting in July the Vice President of Le Mans Metropole, Fabienne Lagarde, with her Innovation Director, Damien Derouet, they did invite us to visit this morning, the Le Mans University Institute of Molecules and Materials.

They did welcome us (Loic Chaumont, Stรฉphane Baudet, Pierre Sanchez) with the Institute Director, and several searchers and professors. We had an extensive visit of all their laboratories, showing all high tech machines and processes. We shared on our needs and willing to develop innovation in color chemistry.

It appears we could certainly develop partnerships, and get support for the benefit of our two organisations. A next brainstorm meeting between our teams is scheduled in the next months in our plant.ย

For those of you in the UK this week; as part of the London Design Festival, the Shoreditch Triangle is showcasing over 50 design led events. From the Institute of Maragoni Milan, Vitra, Dezeen, Hay, to Jasper Morrison; this curated event by SCP, is also hosting designer Daniel Eatock using Winsor and Newton materials; who we have been proud to support as their partners of choice for this highlight in the Design calendar.

Having previously worked with SCP; “the unofficial epicentre of furniture and product design,” they showcase the work of Matthew Hilton, Terence Woodgate and Sarah Kay. This has been a great opportunity to create a context for our graphic materials and it was fantastic to be invited to participate in this exciting annual event.

Why is this important? It is a context that attracts both established and emerging designers from all disciplines, from all over the world. Seeing our materials in this context, seeds the brand to a widening audience and educates on the breadth and integrity of what we have to offer. On until the 22nd brochures online and in the office.

Huge thanks to Ruben and Chevelle for their agility as ever, in providing the entire range to be displayed on a stand in the SCP showroom, with thanks from the UK team.

    • Keep up the great work Jimmy. The more we explain, the better the results – even me discussing with store associates in Blick yesterday resonated with them – comments like…”Oh, right, that’s why it’s a jar so you can reuse it and it’s recycled and recyclable, that’s cool…..oh, ok, great to realise it’s the same price per ml as HB 59ml….”

    • well done Jimmy!

Last week Sales Team DACH and NL had a sales meeting in Le Mans. For some of us it was the first visit in our production & warehouse. The feedback after the factory tour was impressive!ย  Thanks to Thierry and Delphine for this.

As a team, we would like to thank all our French colleagues for their hospitality, support and the useful time we spent together.
