The What
Employees in Colart offices are given specific opportunities to create art using Colart Brand supplies, possibly adhering to a particular theme, and the process/end result can be shared on Social media (TFAC/Elephant/Colart site/brands) as a way of showing how enthusiastic people are about the products they market/sell/produce and also how accessible they are to hobbyists and non-professional artists
The Why
A recent study quoted in a Colart presentation stated that consumers buy a great deal more products from companies they feel a connection to. By showing the work and/or process of employees of the company, Colart can add a further human element and also show the enthusiasm people who work for the company have for its products.
The How
1. (Optional) Colart may put out a call for a particular theme (gifting season, Valentines Day, greeting Cards, etc)
2. Employees pitch their concept – what brand’s products they wish to use, the process, possibly a rough sketch of the design, etc
3. The pitches are considered and one or more is selected
4. The employee is given a date and time in which they can use a studio and assigned products to create their work
5. The end result is recorded and potentially shared through Social Media or on the website

This could add a nice human element i agree – golden do well with this grass roots angle and i think we could think about how we do it for our brands in maybe a different way for each brand – to fit the tone and character of each. it would need to look cool and interesting so well curated and thoughtfully managed! good idea
