The What
Option 1: VR/360 tours of Elephant West exhibitions so they can be viewed globally
Option 2: VR style “over the shoulder” view videos which can act as tutorials for various brands and techniques
The Why
During the recent Lollypops and Learn session “Insights into Human Behaviour”, a study was quoted that showed that if a piece of content demonstrated an action from a similar angle to the viewer (eg, showing a bowl of soup and a hand holding a spoon), the brain could respond the the image almost as if they were the one completing the action. Therefore, using VR technology either to simulate walking around the gallery or creating a piece of art creates a connection with the viewer that could increase engagement, as well as utilising an area of media very few, if any, other companies are using.
The How
Option 1: 360 VR camera used to film a walking tour (possibly with audio guide) around the current exhibit, to be uploaded to Youtube, where viewers can either watch in browser or using a VR headset.
Option 1: 360 VR camera used to film an art technique tutorial which could be used on multiple platforms, including Youtube where viewers can either watch in browser or using a VR headset.

I loved this idea VR and AR is here now and we should be able to engage more consumer and client experience through that!
I have a 360 camera if you want to try it out!
digitalising great content from Elephant West onto http://www.elephant.art is the core of the Elephant business model and digital first strategy – so i’ll vote for the max ๐
