Microsoft Teams rollout

Skype for Business is being decommissioned

You might have heard that Skype for Business is being decommissioned, so we are using this opportunity to rollout a new primary communication channel: Microsoft Teams. This channel is already well-known and used daily by many of you.

Microsoft Team will be our new collaboration platform

Starting from early May, Microsoft Teams will become our official communication and collaboration platform, combining an efficient workplace chat, video meeting and file storage.

For those of you who use Skype currently as a phone system (ie to dial external numbers), Teams will become your phone system much like Skype currently is. For those of you that use Skype just for Instant Messaging/Meetings, Teams will replace that functionality.

We will communicate updates on this project soon with more details.

Microsoft Teams should already by on your computer

As of now, we would like you to make sure that Microsoft Teams is already installed on your PC and ready to use. If not, we will be rolling out the software to all business units silently in the background.

Any question?

If you need any help please contact your local Tech Support Team, we will be also organising a workshop to give you the opportunity to learn more about the tool and answer any questions you may have.
