What is TFAC?
The Fine Art Collective (TFAC) is a global network of artists and technical experts dedicated to sharing knowledge and skills. It is formed of professional artists, art educators, chemists, historians and curators based in 12 countries.
TFAC works within the art community to share material practice and expertise on artists’ colours, tools and techniques. Supported by our fine art brands, Winsor & Newton, Liquitex, Conté à Paris and Lefranc Bourgeois, it offers:
- Artist-led educational lectures with art schools
- Residencies for emerging artists
- Technical visits to colour laboratories and manufacturing sites
- Visits to brand archives
- Communication on the latest art news, techniques and information
- Access to special events with Elephant West
What does TFAC do?
TFAC is present all over the world – under slightly different forms. Here is a non-exhaustive list of what the collective offers:
- Artist-led lectures
- Technical Demonstrations
- Workshops
- Retail training, resulting in meaningful relationships and better mutual understanding
- Visits of our archives, I&D lab and global manufacturing sites for institutions or groups of members
- Residency programmes in London, Berlin, and ?
- Professional development forums where key figures in art criticism and curation share their career and employability insights with students from our partner art schools
- A monthly digital newsletter to all collective members
