Remembering Duggie Fields

Duggie Fields was a true art and fashion icon, regarded as one of the creative talents that defined British art in the 1970s and 80s. He possessed an unmistakable style and palette, inspired by the bold and bright cartoons he enjoyed throughout his childhood. Duggie lived surrounded by his own paintings, textiles and sculptures, and also applied his love and passion for painting into his wardrobe. Sadly, Duggie passed away in March, leaving behind a legacy of creativity and inspiring the next generation of imaginative creators. We are honored to have had the opportunity to work with him and share his incredible work with our audience. Learn more about Duggie’s career here.

Sadé DuBoise

Sadé DuBoise is a self-taught visual storyteller, acrylic painter, nature lover and an orator of the Black experience in the Pacific Northwest. Through her work, Sadé celebrates the experiences of multi-racial people and paints portraits of African Americans in outdoor settings based on locations she’s visited on hiking, backpacking and camping trips. While Sadé finds much of her inspiration in the great outdoors, she also scours social media to explore new models, artists and techniques. She recently transitioned to becoming a full-time artist and has been selected to paint a historical portrait of Justice Nelson, the first African American to sit on the Oregon Supreme Court to be shown in fall of 2021. Additionally, Sadé works to make original art more accessible by painting 4x6” portraits known as “mini originals” for $100. Learn more about Sadé’s practice and upcoming projects here.
