Download PDFOn Friday 15th October, we held the fortnightly Town Hall meeting hosted by CEO Dennis van Schie.
This time Dennis hosted the THM in a different location and with an exceptional live audience, as GLT met offsite for a strategy meeting. Dennis started the session by explaining that he is still reading the book he recommended in the previous live stream, Dominion by Tom Holland. It is a long and challenging book but 100% worthy. His second piece of inspiration was another book he is reading this time in Swedish, ten lektioner for ett hållbart naringsliv (10 lessons for a Sustainable business life), a book presented to them during the Lindengruppen management conference early last week.
Talking about COVID-19, currently, we have one positive case. Dennis announced that there are no employees furloughed anymore, meaning that schemes are done. He reminded us that the delta variant is around and that we still need to be conscious and careful.
Company-wise, Dennis said that it was a hectic week with all the individual business reviews. They discussed the closing of October and FC-2 (forecasts). Forecast 2 has a positive result although he recognised that the sales are coming down. He also spoke about the different challenges that Colart is facing, like Global transportation chaos.
We invited Ajita Chamberlin, Quality and Sustainability Manager and Olivia Grimes, Sustainability Coordinator, to talk about Sustainability and Bcorp. Ajita gave a little recap on our sustainability strategy and introduced Olivia. Olivia has been with us only for a month, and we need to recognise the significant effort she made putting herself in front of the camera and explaining to the company what is Bcorp, why it is essential for Colart and the phases of the project.

1. Go to your Outlook or Teams calendar and look for the latest THM invite.
2. Click on the link on the invite
3. The live stream will open up. On the right-hand side, on the bottom, you will find two different icons.
4. Click first on the CC icon and select “subtitles on”
5. Click on the setting icon and Captions/Subtitles, select the language you want (French or Chinese)
