A Finance Team Message From Stuart Jell
This is a note to share some updates relating to the UK / Northern European & International Finance team
With the aim of strengthening both the efficiency and effectiveness of the UK / Northern Europe & International Finance team, I would like to inform you of decisions that will be effective from 1st April 2022.
Anfi Furnkranz (Assistant Financial Accountant) and Rakeem Herman (Junior Accountant) will change reporting lines from myself & will now report into Omar Abdelmawla (Head of Finance – Northern Europe). This change will ensure that the team is fully equipped to provide maximum finance support to the Northern European business.
Reflecting the Commercial announcement shared by Gail Pasquier in February (Commercial Team Updates by Gail Pasquier – Colart Intranet), Melody Xie (Commercial Finance Business Partner – China) will join the team and report into Felicity Hullah. This ensures that we can support the commercial team in maximising the China and International synergies which Gail refers too.
Secondly, I want to share the news that Omar Abdelmawla will be leaving the business in mid-June for a new external opportunity. He has made a very positive impact on the Northern Europe finance agenda since he joined in March 2020 and will be missed. However, this change brings an opportunity for someone to take on this varied and interesting Head of Finance role.
I would love to find an internal candidate. The role specification is almost finalised and I will be happy to share it with any interested parties. London based finance opportunites do not come up often. If there is an interest, then please do not hesitate to speak to myself or @Omar Abdelmawla for more information.
Finally, I want to confirm that I will be on paternity leave from the start of May through to the end of August. I will share more details of any interim ways of working e.g. AP approvals, in April. During this period, Felicity Hullah, Omar Abdelmawla, Sophie Cooper Pozsonyi will report directly to Jonathan Spight; whilst James Whelan will report on an interim basis into Sophie Cooper Pozsonyi.
