Annual Employee Engagement Survey Coming soon…

Next week we will be running our annual employee engagement survey. This is your chance to get your views across and as always, we keep the survey confidential to allow your comments to be open, honest and transparent. Importantly, this means that we can review, identify, discuss and take action, ensuring the future continues to align with our People vision to "inspire every person in Colart".

This survey will be conducted via two routes: -

For those of you who work in the offices, you will receive an email directly with a link to the survey

For those of you who work in our factories or DCs, the HR team will make the usual arrangements for you to be able to complete the survey during the working day

The focus of the survey will continue to be on your perceptions about the company and your perceptions about leadership and this year you will find additional questions on your perceptions about the company’s approach to sustainability. If we are to really ignite sustainability in Colart, we are keen to know what you think!

As a reminder, when we ask about your perceptions on your leader we would like you to think about your responses in the context of the Colart Way which is our means of expressing in one place the behaviours we want from our leaders. Remember these behaviours were shaped through conversations with many of you across the global business. These behaviours highlight what is already seen in pockets of the business and where there is more work to be done.

Here are a few words that sum up the behaviours: -

  1. Leading myself:
    1. Humble - recognise others, modest and ask for input of others.
    2. Approachable - open, clear, listen, present, understand and visible.
    3. True – integrity, diversity, reliable and fair.
  2. Leading others:
    1. Collaborative – togetherness, inclusive, sharing, creating a positive environment and sense of belonging.
    2. Empowering – Trust, delegate and encourage ownership
    3. Nurturing – developing, coaching, supporting and guiding
  3. Leading the business: 
    1. Driving - driving force, progress, never give up, walk the talk.
    2. Inspiring – pilot, create infectious energy and positivity
    3. Pioneering - forward looking, think outside the box, visionary, encourage curiosity and courageous
