Colart Mixes with the Big Brands in the Creative Retail Awards Shortlist
Winsor & Newton Graphic Art in store design is shortlisted alongside Heineken, Chanel No 5, Heathrow Airport and others for the POP/POS Concept Category.

On the 21st of July the industry congregated at Sook Oxford Street, London, to learn the Shortlisted entries for the upcoming 2022 Creative Retail Awards. The Shortlist presents some of the very best in global retail, leisure, and hospitality design & display with projects including Woolworths South Africa, Sports Direct, Chanel, Sky, Coach, Asda and many more.
As physical retail evolves, design and experience have become more powerful tools than ever. The Creative Retail Awards have recognised the retail industry’s best companies and talent since 2018. With categories including sustainability, omni-channel, technology, VM schemes, POP/POS, shopfitting, store design, experience, and innovation, the Awards recognise talent across the full spectrum of design and display.

A cross-functional team including Shopper Marketing, Winsor & Newton Brand, Colart and Stamp Design Agency delivered on the brief “to create a shopper centric in store communication system that inspired, informed and ultimately leads to purchase”.
The Challenge?
To pull together a graphic art offer that works for all markers and in all store formats. We also had to create space for “inspiration”, such as tips and tricks, even for the smallest format.
Shopper insights fed into the strategy to ensure to Attract, Engage and Inspire at the fixture with the information the Shopper actually needs.



The result?
A cohesive graphic art offering that pulls together markers, paper, fineliners and pencils, encouraging shoppers to explore the full Winsor & Newton Graphic Art offer.
"Product in use" imagery was used to inspire and attract to the fixture. Tips and techniques is part of an engagement strategy and offer link purchase suggestions are positioned at the mid comms to provide communication at the fixture.
