Colart Cares and So Do Our People

During the employee engagement survey earlier in the year, we included several questions and ran a number of employee-based workshops to help us understand how people view sustainability in Colart.

The results and insights will be used as part of a PhD research into how companies like Colart can work with their employees to co-own sustainability and develop game-changing solutions. In effect, helping people to become sustainability changemakers within Colart

Whilst the results are still being worked on in more detail, I am delighted to say that the key message is that not only does Colart care, but it's evident that our people do too! We have captured the results so far in a video which you can watch below.

More comprehensive results will follow together with communications about what sustainability means for Colart, and how everyone within Colart can play a part. From the results, we know this is a priority need.

These communications will deepen our understanding of what we are doing and our progress across the Group. This supports our journey to being carbon neutral by 2030.

In the meantime, I am pleased to communicate that as the London Hub sits within the London Borough of Hammersmith & Fulham, Colart has signed up for their Climate Alliance. The H&F Climate Alliance brings together organisations from across the borough to learn about the climate emergency and share ideas on tackling the challenge of creating a low-carbon future where everyone can thrive.

By joining this Climate Alliance, we will commit to their pledge principles:

LEARN - to measure our greenhouse gas emissions to understand our main climate impacts and monitor these on an ongoing basis.

PLAN - to develop and implement a Climate Action Plan.

SHARE - progress made and climate action taken with H&F Council and Climate Alliance members each year.

More details regarding the H&F Climate Alliance can be found by clicking on the link here.

This is just one example of partnering in our communities. We aim to work with other local authority networks relevant across the Group.

Don't hesitate to get in touch with your local Sustainability Ambassador or me if you have any questions.
