October marks World Menopause Month, which aims to raise awareness of  menopause and options to improve health and wellbeing for women in mid-life and beyond.

Culminating with World Menopause Day on 18 October, the theme for 2022 is cognition and mental health.

If you are experiencing perimenopause or menopause and have started to think, feel or do things that are different to before, please take time to read these leaflets.

Psychological and emotional changes are extremely common when hormones start to change and decline, and this information will show you what to look out for, help you understand why these changes happen, and give you the options and information to decide how to get help.

Remember, if you would like to talk to someone, please take advantage of the company Employee Assistance schemes and details can be found by clicking on the link here.  Alternatively, please reach out to your local HR department if you need more support.

  1. I think that having Menopause awareness is a fantastic idea. Many of the women, within my workplace, are now going through this change and we try to help each other by talking about it. We agree that we are the first generation that are openly talking about this topic. We are all aware of our periods stopping when we reach a certain age, but it is a shock to many to discover all of the other issues that can arise from menopause and how frightening it can be. Well done Colart.

    • I totally agree with you Tina and thank you for making this comment….it’s up to us to talk openly about the menopause for our own benefit and for future generations of women. No one should have to go through the experience alone when there is so much that can be gained by sharing.
