Reuse, Recycle, Reinforce Explained in Town Hall Meeting

Did you miss the live Town Hall Meeting event?  A recording is available at the end of this news article.  As we held the meeting as a MS Teams Meeting and not a Live Meeting we are unable to provide transcripts in other languages.

Reuse, recycle, reinforce.

These words echoed during this town hall meeting where Dennis and Jane came head-to-head in an open dialogue to discuss different communication topics and platforms. It was a moment to reflect on how we communicate while considering how we collaborate, celebrate and unite, or as Dennis puts it, our “togetherness”.

The subject of togetherness leads to Dennis’s “moments of inspiration”. He stated that “it is a basic human need to be together and important for our mental health”.

What is Dennis reading?

His current read takes him on a “conscious and contrary” journey where he picks up books that he would not necessarily read. He says, “try new things, expose yourself and feed your curiosity”. Doing so pushes him out of his comfort zone and is something he recommends that everybody do in different ways.

Dennis is reading Quantum: Einstein, Bohr, and the Great Debate About the Nature of Reality. To learn more about the greatest intellectual debate of the 20th century, click on the link here.

Business Update from Dennis

  • Explained the ELT (Extended Leadership Team) stand-up meetings
  • Last weeks ELT included
    • A further overview of the GLT offsite session where they strategized the reduction of investments and adjusting cost base for the next two years
    • Update on Toby developing a manifesto that better describes our corporate strategy. Once this is complete, it will be cascaded to everybody.
    • FC2 outcomes are better than expected. Previously we had forecast a £4M loss. Still, thanks to cost savings implemented in the summer, the adjusted forecast is now only a £2.5M loss.
    • BCorp update. We still have a gap in our self-assessment. Richard will facilitate several workshops to ensure we get this “over the line”.
    • Update on the bio-based paints project involving a cross-functional team championed by Frederique Rousseau, Brand Director, Lefranc Bourgeois
    • The brand positioning project is almost complete, and there will be an initial Liquitex presentation from Gail and Sarah Clark.
