Town Hall Meeting Wrap Up for 2023: Perform 2030 in Action
Romain recently led our final town hall for 2023 on 15th December, where guest speakers Jane and Gareth shared valuable insights from the values workshops held during the Perform 2030 cascade.
Whether you caught it live or not, we highly recommend watching the video. As we step into January and a new year, it's an excellent time for reflection on the past year to plan for the one ahead. This video offers valuable perspectives.
Romain highlighted reasons to be proud of our achievements in 2023, citing:
- Achieving B Corp certification
- Initiating the first phase of our decarbonisation roadmap
- Returning Net Sales to growth, building confidence with our owners
- Readying our brands for bolder brand repositioning
- Reintroducing reeves into our brand portfolio
- Launching Perform 2030, our strategic business plan, driving performance with actions already underway:
- Initiated a competitive reset of industry footprint to optimise operations
- Reorganizing in China
- Implementing efficiency projects in Le Mans
- Focusing on quantity and volumes to regain market share
- Establishment of the One Europe Project led by Jake Kersey
- Redefining our omni channel roadmap and setting up a 'digital factory' in the US, paving the way for brand e-commerce websites, starting with Liquitex, to seek growth in this new channel.
Romain's closing remarks emphasised the need to transform and evolve our culture. We are doing this through evolving our values, enhancing decision-making efficiency, and fostering agility in our ways of working. These efforts are geared toward making a more significant impact on the market and collectively improving efficiency.
Jane and Gareth then engaged the audience in a Q&A discussion on our evolving values, conducting three live polls, with the following results:
The breadth of data from the values workshops provided invaluable insights. Jane and Gareth discussed this identifying statements that reasonate and align with the corresponding value. We will continue to analyse the data as our aim is to provide a comprehensive summary of the values as you have defined them. We know this then ensures they are authentic, you connect with their meaning and engage through your actions.
In the interim, the following provides a visual summary of that discussion, highlighting some of the statements you provide to describe each value:
- always doing our best
- acting with integrity and ethical behaviour
- 80% on time > 100% late
- going the extra mile
- team members collaborating, supporting each others and contributing to a culture of continuous learning and growth
- taking pride in doing something
- being agile in meetings and discussions to keep the conversation on-topic and focussed
- displaying a desire to find creative solutions and acting on them
- being transparent in sharing knowledge and information
- having autonomy and trust to get things done
- stepping out of your comfort zone and taking a risk
- taking responsibility for consequences as a result of your actions
