Town Hall Takeover: Tuesday, 23rd January - Through the Eyes of the Artist
The global brand team of Winsor & Newton took center stage to unveil their new brand positioning, Through the Eyes of the Artist. Led by Global Brand Director Helly Summerly, the entire brand team, both virtually and on-site, orchestrated an insightful session. Kicking off with a thought-provoking Q&A moderated by Senior Communications Manager Jo Sass, the team delved into the significance of branding asking the question why does brand matter and why does Winsor & Newton need a new brand positioning?
Each team member had the opportunity to showcase their contributions. The digital team, comprising Tom French, Digital Marketing Manager, Tom Ball, Digital Marketing Executive, and Serena Brahmbhatt, Social Media Specialist, demonstrated how the new brand positioning would manifest across digital and social channels. Following this, Joe Davis, Creative Content Strategist, elaborated on in-store solutions and unveiled exciting press ads featuring the new manifesto in Positive News, Artist’s Magazine, Watercolor Artist, and JUXTAPOZ print magazines.
Crossing over to North America, Winsor and Newton Brand Manager for the region, Manasi Jagtap, explained local commercial activations. Returning to the UK, Senior Brand Manager Jean Brooke-Sumner and Brand Manager Agostina Capria Brcich showcased new product developments, including artist kits that have already garnered positive reception. Finally, our team based in Europe, represented by Senior Brand Manager Marta Tinoco and Brand Manager Sebastian Bucholski, presented an array of brush sets, showcasing the diversity and quality of our products.

Town Hall Meeting: Live From Creative World: 29th January 2024
Colart made its return to the 2024 Creative World Trade Fair, marking its first participation since 2018. The trade fair, hosted at Messe Frankfurt from January 27th to 30th, provided an excellent platform for showcasing our brands. We brought the Creative World experience to everyone virtually through our Live Event on MS Teams. The Colart stand proudly presented brand stands featuring Winsor & Newton, Liquitex, Lefranc Bourgeois, Conte à Paris, SNAZAROO, and the soon-to-be-launched reeves.
Acknowledging the extensive efforts of our commercial teams behind the scenes is crucial. With numerous suppliers and distributors onsite, the event presented a prime opportunity for our teams to engage and collaborate, effectively bringing the global community of art suppliers, distributors and retailers together in one place.
The meticulous planning, design, and execution of the Colart stand was evident. It required four days to install, and we invite you to witness its transformation in the time-lapse video provided above.
A special acknowledgment and heartfelt thanks to Marc Fleckenstien, our Digital and eCommerce Manager based in Frankfurt. Marc's unwavering commitment made the four-day time-lapse video possible, and we are immensely grateful for his efforts in bringing our vision to life.
For those who missed the town hall meeting, we have a recording of the live event which you can view below.
A very special thanks to everyone who participated in presenting at the town hall meeting including;
Joe Davis from Winsor & Newton, Sarah Clark and Christina Yoder from Liquitex, special guest star on the LQX stand Johny Meghames from our R&D team in Le Mans, Clemence Blanc and Helene Pointier from Team Lefranc Bourgeois, featuring Conte à Paris and mutlitasking her way through the brands, Palakshi Naha, presenting both SNAZAROO and reeves. Finally, thanks to co-hosts Romain Guinier and Gail Pasquier for their positive insights and commentary.
