The partnership with the Paul Smith Foundation aims to foster and support emerging artists globally through an international art prize. This initiative, originally planned for 2025, has been accelerated to this year, reflecting the agility and opportunity-seizing spirit of the brand. The art prize, labelled as “Finding inspiration everywhere”, will be open to early-career artists across six global cities. Winners will receive not only recognition but also substantial support, including up to £1,000 of Winsor & Newrton art materials with their pieces showcased in Paul Smith stores.
Romain also provided updates on Colart’s financial performance, highlighting a solid April with sales slightly better than budget. Despite challenges in certain categories and geographies, overall performance remains to budget. Additionally, advancements in thedirect-to-consumer (D2C) project were noted, particularly the progress in transforming digital flagship brands to the Shopify ecommerce platform with Liquitex already launched and Winsor & Newton to be launched soon.
