Inspiring Artists in Colart
Mindfulness and Art are connected in many ways with their relationship enhancing both the creative process and personal well-being. Knowing this and taking advantage of a new Paint Like a Pro collaboration between Liquitex and Vullow, we recently hosted a Well-being Day, for some colleagues from Minehead, Lowestoft and Kidderminster.
Reflecting Colart's inclusive spirit the three lucky people who were "picked from a hat" were accompanied by their line manager - Minehead (Lucy Franklin with Amanda Giess), Lowestoft (Tia Court with Poppy Mercer), and Kidderminster (Shane Williams with Garry Adams) and invited to the London Hub for this fun event on 10 July.
Offering this creative outlet aligns with the Colart Manifesto 2030 "This is our creative movement" and we hoped this opportunity for artistic inspiration would not only promoting well-being but also foster unique, enjoyable connections! We were therefore pleased to receive the overwhelmingly positive feedback:
"Therapeutic and enjoyable!"
"I am now an artist!"
"This was super fun by the way, it really ties in with our mision to inspire every artist!"
"I would recommend it to anybody!"
Check out the photos for this fun event…
Lovely initiative and really great results. You are all artists now ๐
No excuse but to continue on the journey you have so successfully started…
It was an absolute privilege to take part in this activity.
Anyone who knows me is aware of my love for all things art and craft but I am someone who would avoid painting. However, with my new found confidence I can honestly say I would now attempt something else! I may have to get myself a paint by numbers!
This activity was so much fun, so relaxing and the time went too fast โ I could have painted all day!
Thank you for making this happen @sharifa-jordancolart-com
Both myself and Poppy had the best day, thank you for the opportunity <3
