“Participating in the event indeed met a mindfulness need for me.  I haven’t really created any art since my college days attending art school and forgot how nice it is to lose yourself in whatever you are creating and what self-expression does for the soul.  Thanks for reminding me why being creative is important to me and giving me the opportunity to reconnect with an important part of myself.”

THERE IS an artist within!

Some of you may have seen the post on the Wall made by Erin Keenan (Consumer Marketing Director, North America) about a great Brand Engagement event organised last week in NA.  Everyone from the office and distribution centre came together to explore the Winsor & Newton launch of Revival Colours at a creative card making session!

The activity celebrated not only the new colours but also reinforced the importance of creativity for mindfulness.

To bring this session to life for everyone, we have collected a few quotes from the team to show what the activity meant to them.

Read on….!

“Lovely to experience the revival colours first hand specially knowing their amazing history, and the best part sharing the experience with my wonderful colleagues! Thank YOU!”

“Colour is universal, meaning that we all react to it in a visceral way, so I think it’s great to give more people in the business the opportunity to have this type of interaction with our colours.  People don’t need an artistic skill set to experience and enjoy colour, the act of simply letting it flow on a surface can be rewarding in and of itself so I say yes to more of these types of activities”
“For those of us in Marketing, we really don’t need much of a lesson in product, capabilities, etc… but these brand exercises definitely remind us of what drives folks to purchase the things we make: the quality, the immersion, the process. To get away from our desks for even 30 minutes in busy day and focus our awareness on the act of making, is definitely a welcome diversion and a chance for us to let go
