Alexander Babbage, Group Financial Reporting and Treasury Manager joins the global Finance Team!

We are delighted to announce that Alex has joined our team as the new coordinator and manager of Group financial reporting and Treasury matters.

Alex will primarily focus on enhancing the automation and systemisation of our Treasury procedures, culminating in the implementation of a Treasury Management System.

As a Chartered Management Accountant with over seven years of post-qualified experience across a variety of sectors and groups of varying sizes, Alex brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to our organization. Most recently, he worked with Publicis Group, the world’s second-largest communications group, where he was responsible for technical financial reporting with a specialisation in Treasury, including debt, interest, and FX rate exposure.

Alex is passionate about automation and systemisation and is enthusiastic about implementing these principles within our Group Treasury operations.

Outside of work, Alex enjoys playing tennis, golf, and rugby. For the latter sport, he also holds the accolade of being in the winning team for the Daily Telegraph Rugby Cup held at Twickenham Stadium.

“I am excited to embark on this new journey with Colart as Group Financial Reporting & Treasury Manager. I am arriving from Publicis Groupe, where I was primarily focussed on holdings and treasury entity reporting. I have experience in a multitude of sectors and I am hoping I can apply my knowledge to help Colart on its own journey. I’m a keen (and hopefully improving) golfer and am always game for a round.”

To ensure a smooth onboarding process, James Whelan will be his induction buddy.
