Bringing you an update on the Retailer Activation Between Cass Art and W&N Professional Acrylic Mural
As part of our retailer activation in the UK team with our key account Cass Art, we are excited to share our brand new Winsor & Newton artist mural at Cass Art Islington flagship in London, which has been created by artist Aysha Tengiz using W&N Professional Acrylics (& W&N Promarkers for the finishing touches).
The mural, which is located at the entrance of the store, aims to provide the customer with an engaging, personal and vibrant shopping & brand immersion experience, whilst also bringing to life Winsor & newton’s Through the Eyes of the Artist positioning.
At Cass, the W&N Professional Acrylics colour range is available both in-store and online, offered in 60ml tubes and a selection of 200ml tubes + sets. This range constitutes 4.5% of the total invoiced sales to Cass year-to-date. In 2024, sales increased by £12K year-over year, largely driven by the 60ml tubes and PAC sets. Similarly, for Cass EPOS sales, PAC accounts for the same share of sales as invoiced sales. This activation is a great opportunity for us to bring this range to life through an artist-led activation which stays true to the brand’s positioning.
Aysha curated a vibrant, bright and uplifting colour palette of W&N Professional Acrylics for her design.
The scale of the mural really shines a spotlight on how incredible W&N Professional Acrylics are with their rich, brilliant finish. Plus, the longer working time yet fast drying time of this range was perfect for allowing Aysha to work on the mural with precision yet speed.
The artist of this mural, Aysha Tengiz, is a London-based illustrator. She is known for her colourful and vibrant artwork, whereby her illustrations commonly explore ‘silly’ worlds, filled with a range of playful characters.
Aysha designed this mural artwork specifically for this activation and with the aim of conveying ‘a town of colour & whimsy’, bringing to life W&N’s Through the Eyes of the Artist and Cass Art’s mission to ‘fill every town with artists’.
Aysha says:
“I had such a wonderful week painting in the Cass Art store. Everyone was so interested in what we were up to. People came back throughout the week to see how we were getting on and one woman even emailed me a poem she said the mural inspired!
It was my first experience painting a larger scale mural with Acrylic so I was a bit nervous! My worries vanished quickly though, as the paint was brilliant. The colours came out incredible and the paint took to the wall really well. I’m really happy with how it came out!”
For continued brand visibility, we completed the mural by adding an A4 ‘Through the Eyes of the Artist’ informational sticker to the wall.
To further our engagement with customers visiting the Cass Islington store, we also created bespoke TTEOTA postcards which feature the mural design on the frontside and the TTEOTA logo lock up & info about the mural design on the backside. This way, anyone can take a piece of this activation home with them! Hopefully this will inspire many to get creative and colourful with Winsor & Newton.
To maximise this beautiful mural; we are working closely with the Cass Marketing team to get activations on the Cass Instagram and website channels, further highlighting our brilliant W&N Professional Acrylics range and TTEOTA brand positioning.
We will also be inviting Aysha to host a workshop in store, alongside the mural, where customers can meet the artist and learn tips & tricks on using Professional Acrylics and Promarkers.

A superb example of retailer activation and product material use. All instore, LIVE and Unplugged (ref for those old enough to remember MTV), a variety of colour and materials used, engaging, fun, and inspiring.
