Bewdley Arts Festival winner
Jan Lennon was invited by David Baker to present a prize on behalf of Colart at the weekend at our local Bewdley Arts Festival.
Several colleagues helped me to select our winning entry, “Behind The Curtain” pictured below with the extremely talented 14 year old, Nonin Stevenson receiving another of her prizes presented by artist Laura Smith.
The artists were given a few hours the previous week to complete their artwork.
Nonin’s frame was broken but she repaired it in a way which I feel enhances the entire story of the painting.
As a site, Kidderminster DC also took the opportunity to Inspire Every Artist by presenting a small gift pack to all of 13 artists to include paper, a few paints and brushes from our charity aisle to encourage the use of our products.
A few of the entrants are pictured at the left with their packs.
What a great initiative, really lives up to Creating Impact in the communities that we serve ❤️
Really great to see Colart truly inspiring every artist, partnering with the local community and supporting the young artist. Well done David and Jan and of course super well done to all entrants and the overall winner. Best, Anthony
Well done, David and Jan, this is a fantastic initiative that truly reflects our commitment to supporting the local community around our Kidderminster DC. The creativity and talent shown by the contributing artists were outstanding and added real heart to the project. Thank you both for driving this forward.
Best,
Guy
